Netflix Announces Release Date For The Final Season Of ‘The Killing’

The best show you have not been watching is back from the dead for one more tale of murder and deception, both likely involving children.

When The Killing finished its third season on AMC in the fall of 2013 no one knew whether or not the show would return. The network seemed uninterested in learning what happened to Sarah Linden (Mireille Enos) and Stephen Holder (Joel Kinnaman), but fans disagreed. Petitions were formed, forums were flooded with discussion, and a few thousand refreshes on entertainment sites later it was revealed Netflix had decided to option the show for one final …

Wolves At The Gate

Wolves At The Gate Reveal Details For Sophomore Studio Album

Back in July of 2012 Wolves At The Gate released their debut full length album via Solid State Records. Now that some time has passed since that album’s release, the band is prepared to drop a second full length through the label. Fans have known that the band was planning on releasing new music, but the details of that release weren’t revealed until a few hours ago.

Wolves At The Gate will release VxV June 10. Though there aren’t any singles available to check out at this time, the band did reveal the tracklist and artwork for the album. You …

Motionless In White Announce ‘Reincarnate’

Motionless In White spent the majority of 2013 on the road, but as the year was winding down they began to open up about plans to enter the studio once more. 2014 arrived and not long after the group tucked themselves away for a three-month creation period that has produced a new record which will arrive this September under the name Reincarnate.

At this time there is no additional information available about Motionless In White’s new album, but given its title I would not be surprised if the band returned to a sound similar to their earlier releases (as …

The Dan Auerbach Mix Of Lana Del Rey’s “West Coast” May Be Better Than The Original

If you’re anything like me then you have only recently managed to catch the breath that was stolen from you during the lush and entrancing debut of Lana Del Rey‘s new single (“West Coast“) last week. It had all the hazy vibes of pseudo-reality you have come to expect from the soulful vocalist, with a splash of guitar fuzz and pure California sunshine strong enough to hook even the coldest soul. Nothing too outside LDR’s wheelhouse, but a definite step towards something different than what was found on her debut.

This morning, Ultraviolence producer Dan Auerbach (who …

Taylor Bennett Makes A Good Argument For Being Your New Favorite Artist With “Hope”

We have spoken about Chicago rapper Taylor Bennett in the past, but he’s still unknown to a large portion of our readership. He’s the brother of Chance The Rapper, but more importantly he has a gift of wordplay and style entirely his own that is showcased perfectly on his new track “Hope.”

Backed by speaker-rattling production from Monte Booker that is as interesting as the lyrics it accompanies, “Hope” finds Taylor returning to the spotlight with a quick-tongued highlight from his upcoming Mainstream Music mixtape. He touches on everything from his love of the mainstream, to his goals in the …

‘Orange Is The New Black’ Season 2 Trailer: Next Level Crazy

Netflix has released the first trailer for the second season of Orange Is The New Black, which debuts exclusively on the video streaming service June 6, 2014.

Featuring a cast of familiar faces, attitudes, and a handful of plot teases, the first look at season 2 of Orange Is The New Black looks to up the ante across the board. Viewers can expect more dry wit, more fighting, and more inmates with peculiar personalities that you’ll either love or hate (and tweet about the same). You can view the first trailer below:…

Summer 2014 Release Set For Woody Allen’s ‘Magic In The Moonlight’

Sony Pictures Classics has revealed a July 25, 2014 release date for Woody Allen’s Magic In The Moonlight. It will be his fourth summertime release in as many years, following 2013′s award-winning Blue Jasmine.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly for a new feature, Allen shared some insight on Magic‘s origins by informing the writer “I had it on a piece of notepaper in my drawer for ages…I knew it was a good plot, but I kept seeing it as a contemporary thing and something about that just didn’t smell right to me. Then when it occurred to me …

‘Magic Mike XXL’ Will Hit Theaters In 2015, Original Cast Expected To Return

…And the award for best sequel title goes to…

Magic Mike 2, which is now officially called Magic Mike XXL, will arrive in theaters July 3, 2015. Exhibitor Relations broke the news today via Twitter, but very little additional information regarding the release is available at this time.

According to reports, Channing Tatum and Reid Carolin have been working on the sequel’s script for the last several months. Plot details are being kept tightly under wraps, but Tatum did confirm to MTV over the weekend that the film would be a road trip movie and that most, if …

Ever since Jonny Craig announced his and Alex Lyman’s (Hearts & Hands) new band, Slaves, fans have been anxiously waiting to hear new music from the group. They’ve released a couple of teasers since they got together, and now we have some details for the album itself.

Brian Marquis

Brian Marquis Signs To Equal Vision Records, Announces Debut Full Length

You may or may not know the name Brian Marquis, but chances are if you’re a fan of post hardcore you’ve heard of the band he used to be in before they disbanded. He was once in Therefore I Am, and after they broke up he continued on as a solo artist. In that time he has released two EPs and was featured on the 2012 Warped Tour compilation. He is clearly making a name for himself already as a solo musician, and his hard work has finally paid off. Earlier today he announced that he’s signed to Equal …

Adestria Announce New Album & Stream New Single

It’s been a while since the last time we wrote about Adestria. They released one of my favorite albums in 2012, titled Chapters. They’ve been on and off the road since then, and are even heading out on tour with Upon This Dawning next month. Fans knew the band was planning on releasing a new album in the near future, and now they’ve revealed some details for it. They will drop their sophomore studio album, titled Gilded Hearts, via Artery Recordings on April 29. To make the announcement even sweeter, the band also premiered the debut track. …

The Latest Wu-Tang Clan Reunion Single Is A Little Underwhelming, But At Least Their Album Is Complete

The Wu-Tang Clan‘s long discussed and extensively delayed reunion album, A Better Tomorrow, has become the rap world’s very own Chinese Democracy in recent years. RZA has explained that a lot of the troubles surrounding the album are due to difficulties getting all nine members of the hip-hop collective back together and on the same page, but anytime a member has gotten behind a microphone or in front of a camera in the past year or so they cannot help hyping the record.

Last night a new single from the album titled “Keep Watch” found its way online, …
