Run The Jewels15

Run The Jewels’ New Track “Bust No Moves” Surfaces Online

Traditionally, Record Store Day is full of cranky record shopping, long lines, and disappointment. This year, we got all of that and a new Run The Jewels track.

The critically acclaimed hip-hop duo of Killer Mike and El-P dropped an EP of rare tracks for RSD last weekend, including the never before heard “Bust No Moves,” which features Arkansas’s SL Jones. This track is standard RTJ fare and sounds like it was recorded along with last year’s Run The Jewels 2, neither of which are complaints. It’s always great to hear Killer Mike on a track you don’t already …

WATCH: Jack White Records, Presses, And Releases Record In One Day For Record Store Day

If you made a visit to your favorite record store on Saturday for Record Store Day 2014, you might have noticed that the lines were longer than they’ve been in years past. The vinyl fad is bigger than it has ever been before, and it shows. RSD 2014 saw artists and labels pressing crazy things like triangular 7″s and glow-in-the-dark variants to generate interest and top everyone else in the “wow” department. However, Jack White takes home the prize for his impressive feat in starting and finishing production for a record before the end of the day. You can …

We reported earlier this month that former White Stripes frontman Jack White will be releasing his second solo record, Lazaretto, on June 10. Well…that day has come. Today fans get to hear “Lazaretto,” the first single and title track from the album.

According to Consequence of Sound, this track was recorded, mastered, pressed and sold for Record Store Day in just three hours and 21 minutes.

Fall In Love With Conor Oberst All Over Again With The B-Side “Fast Friends”

Record Store Day was this past weekend, and Bright Eyes’ mastermind Conor Oberst was behind one of the most sought after 7″ releases. I managed to snag a copy, but only hitting up a second store because my vinyl loving heart felt there was a hole that needed to be filled even though I had already spent $89. It was worth it, however, because the song this post centers around is now a part of my personal collection.

That blurb wasn’t meant to brag or boast, though it may read that way. I’m simply trying to find the best way …
