Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello spoke with the people at Triple M recently and gave us some disheartening news. There are absolutely no plans in place for the group. Read a statement from Morello below and offer your opinion in the comments section.

Black Sabbath Album Set For June Release

Over the weekend, classic rock and early heavy metal legends Black Sabbath announced that their next album would come out in June. The album, titled 13, is produced by Rick Rubin, famed for his work ranging from the Beastie Boys to Metallica.

Also announced this weekend was Black Sabbath’s studio drummer; Rage Against The Machine‘s Brad Wilk will sit on the throne for the album. I’m not sure how Wilk’s hip hop influenced, laid back style will groove with Sabbath, but time will tell. Former drummer Bill Ward quit after months of venting his frustrations publicly. …

Fellow Buzzmedia music site SPIN have got a stream off the upcoming Rage Against The Machine re-release, XX. We’ve got it embedded here, but you can still enter to win a free copy of the deluxe box set here. Tom Morello Not a Fan of Paul Ryan

Rage Against The Machine guitarist, Tom Morello, lambasted Republican Vice Presidential nominee, Paul Ryan, in an Op-Ed for Rolling Stone. Morello, considered by many as one of the greatest guitarists of his generation, is highly outspoken and minces no words in expressing his confusion and disdain of Ryan. The de facto House of Representatives leader has expressed that Rage Against The Machine is his favorite band.

Tom Morello says RATM aren’t ready to record

Well, bummer! Rage Against Against The Machine’s guitarist Tom Morello has issued an official statement regarding the future plans for the funk rock group. He said, “I completely understand people want to hear we’re in the studio making a record. We are not – I’m sorry.”

One of my favorite acts of the 1990′s hinted at a comeback a little while before their epic L.A. Rising festival on July 30, 2011. RATM rocked the house and it looked promising that the group would be making some sort of return.
