CHVRCHES Share New Versions of “The Mother We Share,” “Recover,” and “Gun”

The problem with being one of the most buzzed about bands of 2013 is that no one that controls you from a label standpoint is going to want you to rush into the studio at the start of 2014. You’re too hot to be off the road, and touring is where you generate the majority of your income – so you tour and tour until you can tour no more. While this is happening, however, the fans you made with that ‘breakout’ release last year are growing impatient with your efforts regarding new material.

So, what is a buzzworthy act …

The Swellers 2013

This Acoustic Version Of The Swellers’ “Best I Ever Had” Will Make Pop Punk Loving Hearts Burst With Joy

The perfect song for Warped Tour has just become the perfect song for your next campfire with friends.

It’s incredibly hard to put into words what happens to someone when a song as good as The Swellers’ summertime classic “Best I Ever Had” comes barreling through a stereo system. In a few short notes you, the listener, are transported from wherever you are to the first time you thought you knew what love was, then overwhelmed with the fresh pain of realizing you could not have been more wrong. You don’t cry, however, because those years when you felt …

Rise Against 2013

Rise Against Stream “Sight Unseen”

Most of the time, there is a small minority of music fans who actually care for rarities releases, but then again, most of the time, we’re not talking about Rise Against‘s upcoming Long Forgotten Songs: B-Sides & Covers 2000 – 2013 album. Revolver Magazine just got the exclusive premiere of the latest track to be revealed off the album and it sounds absolutely incredible.

The Wonder Years 'Sleeping on Trash'

ALBUM STREAM: The Wonder Years – ‘Sleeping On Trash’

Philadelphia’s hometown heroes have decided to stream their upcoming rarities album in its entirety over on No Sleep Records’ YouTube page.

The Wonder Years really have quite an impressive discography of older material, and this really helps make much of it available for newer fans of the group. While there’s not much on the collection that’s impossible to find, the release really helps to hold fans over while the pop-punk group is in the studio recording their fourth full-length album.

Our very own Tyler Osborne reviewed Sleeping on Trash: A Collection of Songs Recorded 2005-2010 last week, and the review …

It’s no surprise to anyone and isn’t really a stretch to say that The Wonder Years are one of the biggest bands in pop-punk right now. They’ve been headlining major club shows, have the adoration of people all around the globe, and it’s for a good reason. The Wonder Years are a fantastic band.

Pulled Apart By Horses 2012

Pulled Apart By Horses Releasing New Tracks In December

UK hard rockers Pulled Apart By Horses will release a rarities & b-sides collection on December 10. The release, called Tough Love Sessions, features all the rejected tracks from Tough Love and material recorded since that album’s release. It is rumored that the band cancelled their tour because of a label change, and is releasing this to do some contract fulfilling – but that’s all speculation at this point.

More importantly, the release intends to be digital. What’s the significance of that, you ask? No other Pulled Apart By Horses release is available in the United States yet. I …

MIXTAPE: Wale – Still No Days Off

Maybach Music Group’s Wale has been grinding beyond comprehension since his album Ambition dropped back in November. During that time, as with any rapper on their game, Wale has dropped dozens of freestyles and singles that will likely never surface on commercial releases and it’s because of that lack of availability that we’re joined here today. HowFlyHipHop, one of UTG’s favorite hiphop blogs, has compiled all Wale’s loose tracks for a brand new mixtape entitled Still No Days Off. If you enjoyed last year’s No Days Off, this is the same team and the tracks have gotten …
