FUNDED: Protest The Hero Raise $125,000 In Less Than A Day

Yesterday evening we brought you news that metal favorites Protest The Hero were seeking funding for the recording of their fourth studio album. As of noon today, that goal has not only been met, but surpassed. At the time of posting, the group’s Indiegogo account was already at $25,656.

Protest The Hero’s success with fan funding is the second such tale to cross the newswire this week. Just days ago New York singer/songwriter Kevin Devine managed to raise $50,000 for the recording and promotion of two full length releases. Protest The Hero Need $125,000 To Fund Next Album

Whitby, Ontario rockers Protest The Hero have announced that they are done with label obligations and looking to fund their next album through the fans. PTH need to raise 125,000 in just 30 days and require all of your help to do so. Read a statement from the band below and watch the video for creating their fourth album past the jump. Black Label Society Announce Canadian Tour

Black Label Society have just announced a huge Canadian tour in October and UTG has the details right here.

This run will start on October 16 in St. John’s and end on November 3 in Vancouver so be sure to grab tickets when they are released. The best part of this run is that it finds direct support from Protest The Hero, Pop Evil and Heart Set Self Destruct. Solid line-up there.

Attack Attack! Drop Off Of South American Tour

In light of Cinco De Mayo, Attack Attack! has announced that they will not be able to tour South America as originally planned. Instead Escape the Fate and the Underoath South American Tours have been combined. Protest the Hero will support.

Protest The Hero/Periphery US Tour

Ready to have your mind blown, then get ready for this tour announcement. Protest the Hero and Periphery are going to be invading the US in March and April. The groups will be directly supported by Jeff Loomis and The Safety Fire.

This tour has not been announced quite yet but dates have snuck out.

Underoath have been relatively quiet for the past couple months, with no indication much was happening from their camp. Now the group released four new South American tour dates in May alongside We Came As Romans, Protest The Hero and Close Your Eyes!
