EDITORIAL: The Potential ‘If I Stay’ Sequel Is Nothing Like The Original

Amidst all the coverage surrounding the failure of Sin City: A Dame To Kill For at the box office you may have missed the news that another weekend release, the adaptation of If I Stay, actually made more on its opening weekend than the film’s estimated production cost. That’s a lengthy way of saying it is a bonafide success, despite the fact critics largely panned the teen romance, and though it may seem impossible to those unfamiliar with the original story, a sequel is a very real possibility.

WARNING: Major If I Stay spoilers ahead (duh).

Leaked ‘Hateful Eight’ Trailer Teases Quentin Tarantino’s Latest

There was a time at the very beginning of 2014 when it seemed like the world would never see The Hateful Eight brought to life. The first project from filmmaker Quentin Tarantino since Django Unchained suffered from an early script leak near the end of 2013 that frustrated the Pulp Fiction mastermind to such an extreme he was ready to walk away from the movie altogether. Several months later, following a live reading of the leaked script that was well received, Tarantino brought the project back to life and announced plans to film in early 2015.

Fast forward to early …

Stan Lee Has An ‘Avengers 2′ Cameo (Of Course)

I fear the day the world is without Stan Lee. He may be the closest thing to a universal grandfather figure we will ever know. He’s great in everything, and that includes his role in Punisher: War Zone.

Avengers: Age Of Ultron is the next big Marvel project, and over the weekend Stan Lee confirmed to the attendees at London Film and Comic Con that he too will be joining the already star-studded cast. He declined to give away any specifics regarding where or how he will appear in the film, but he did have a quippy remark ready …

Guillermo del Toro Talks ‘Hellboy 3′ And Whether Or Not It Will Ever Happen

This is a bit of hard post for me to write, dear readers. I have loved the character of Hellboy long before he was brought to the big screen in 2004, but to this day I stand by the cinematic franchise as one of the best comic adaptations of all time. Sadly, it seems like the rest of the world does not agree.

Recently, Guillermo del Toro was amidst a big promotional campaign for The Strain when he decided to spend an afternoon answering fans’ questions via Reddit. During his AMA, del Toro was asked about the fate of Hellboy
