A few months back the internet exploded for an hour or so over news that Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels had officially signed on to make a sequel to Dumb And Dumber. The film was set to shoot in August, but TMZ is now reporting that Jeff Daniels has proclaimed the film “dead” following the exit of Carrey (who thought the studio was not as excited about the project as he would have liked). Peter Farrelly has confirmed a September start date for the long-rumored Dumb And Dumber 2. Even better, Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels are confirmed to star.

ComingSoon has the exclusive announcement, which confirms rumors that have swirled for months. While speaking with Farrelly at a junket for his upcoming co-directorial effort The Three Stooges, the following was revealed:

“We’re getting set to shoot ‘Dumb and Dumber 2′ in September,” he says. “It’s the first sequel we’ve ever done and we’ve got Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels back.”

Paramount Pictures confirmed rumors that have been circling for weeks today by announcing plans to release a fourth installment in the Paranormal Activity franchise later this year.

Though no plot, cast, or production details have been given, Paramount confirmed the project in a press release sent to journalists earlier today. In the release, a representative for Paramount wrote:

Simon Pegg Denies “Hot Fuzz 2″ Rumors, Expresses No Interest In The Project

Earlier today, ComingSoon started a fuss online by reporting exclusive news that Nick Frost had revealed work on Hot Fuzz 2 was underway. As it turns out, this is not the case.

Shortly after the ComingSoon article went live, Hot Fuzz star Simon Pegg took to Twitter with the post “Hola Madrid! Seems to be some conjecture about there being a Hot Fuzz 2 in prod. I can confirm this untrue.”

Bamboozle Documentary in Production

The festival organizers have announced that there is currently a documentary in the works that will contain behind the scenes footage of founder, John D’Esposito, and his team strategically planning the festival as well as interviews with artists and bands participating in The Bamboozle and plenty of live performances shot during the annual rain-or-shine, three-day music event. Evil Dead reboot CONFIRMED, production already underway (UPDATED)

Horror fans have been losing their minds for the past day following word from DreadCentral that Sam Raimi had secretly traveled to Detroit in order to begin making something related to Evil Dead. Bloody-Disgusting took the story further a few hours later, claiming Raimi probably wasn’t the director, but still left most hanging in excitement.

Blink-182 mixing & finishing new album

Blink-182 have announced they’ve entered the mixing stage and are nearing completion on their new album. A statement from vocalist/bassist Mark Hoppus discussing the group’s progression on the record can be read below:

“i’m very excited. we’re getting to the point of the album where we talk about mixers and finishing up the songs. we deliver the album to the label on july 31st, so it will be coming out during the tour. the most recent batch of songs are some of the best of the entire record. very happy it’s all coming together.”
