Stream Boardroom Heroes’ New Song “Never Ready,” Pre-Orders for ‘New Wage’ EP Live

The punks in DC-based band Boardroom Heroes just released a killer new track, titled “Never Ready,” which comes off of their latest EP, New Wage. The song is fast, catchy, and sounds like that late night skate session you have with your buddies on a cool Summer night. Is that a weird comparison? Probably, but it fits.

Boardroom Heroes also put up the pre-orders for the new record; the 10-inch vinyl version of the record is limited to 500 copies, and you can pre-order that here, or you can pick up a digital copy on Bandcamp. It’s …

Empire! Empire! (I Was A Lonely Estate) Share “A Keepsake,” Put Up Album Pre-Order

Forces of emo unite on “A Keepsake,” the second single off the upcoming Empire! Empire! (I Was A Lonely Estate) album You Will Eventually Be ForgottenBob Nanna of Braid - which released a wonderful new album earlier this summer – features on the track with a guest verse.

It’s always odd to hear another voice on an Empire! Empire! track, what with Keith Latinen’s distinctive voice and the band’s telltale twin guitars being so intrinsically tied on almost every other song from the band. It makes for a striking passage, akin to Matt Agrella’s verse on the finale

Guster

Guster Announce New Album For Early 2015 Release

Four years after releasing their last record, Easy Wonderful, Guster have finally finished working on their seventh studio album and are set to release it early in 2015.

Seeing as they will be independently putting the record out, the band states that they were able to write unrestrictedly, and that fans can expect a lot of good things. Fans were also given a vast array of pre-order bundles, which include fun stuff like shaving lead singer Ryan Miller’s beard in any way, shape, or form, or Karaoke with drummer, Brian Rosenworcel, in exchange for helping release the record.

The title …

Trioscapes

Trioscapes Announce Sophomore Album, Stream “Stab Wounds”

A progressive fusion trio, aptly named Trioscapes, was first formed in 2011 by bassist Dan Briggs of Between the Buried and Me, and initially intended to be a one-time musical venture. After teaming up with Walter Fancourt (Casual Curious, Brand New Life) and Matt Lynch (Eyris), the guys found the project was too enjoyable to put down, and we’re certainly glad they came to that decision. The group went on to release a full-length debut entitled Separate Realities in May of 2012, and when we asked them if they had plans to continue the project beyond that release, …

The Color Morale

The Color Morale Announce Details For New Album And Launch Pre-Orders

The Color Morale can be considered a “posicore” group. This means that they are a post hardcore outfit whose lyrics generally have positive messages for the listener. It’s not secret that frontman Garrett Rapp has been through a lot in his life, and he has made a sincere effort to bring positivity to his fans through the band’s music. Their forthcoming album is no exception. The album is titled Hold On Pain Ends (aka H.O.P.E.) and it’s expected to have plenty more of those uplifting lyrics for fans to sing along with. When they released “Outer Demons” they did not …

The band has been around for a handful of years now, and in that time they’ve progressively accrued a strong fanbase. “Good Intentions” is one of the best songs they’ve released to date and I personally am looking forward to hearing the rest of the album. If you like what you …

You Blew It! Share “Surf Wax America” Cover

We’re going surfing, we’re going surfing!”

You Blew It! have partnered with our good friends at Stereogum to share the first song off their upcoming Weezer cover album.

“Surf Wax America” is one of those formidable early 90s indie/punk anthems that has become synonymous with youth in the decades since its initial release. The members of You Blew It! recognize this, and it’s part of the reason they decided to cover the track for their forthcoming Blue Album covers EP. As guitarist/vocalist Tanner Jones explains:

We chose “Surf Wax” because it’s a really great song, plain and simple. We didn’t
