‘Tusk’ Trailer: Kevin Smith Delivers His Most Disturbing Film To Date

Kevin Smith has become known in the world of geekdom as someone with a profound love for storytelling and creativity, regardless of the subject matter. His latest, Tusk, finds the man who gave the world Clerks offering up one of the darkest and most unique stories to hit the silver screen in quite some time.

Last night, Smith stood in front of a packed Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con International for his annual Q&A session when the man responsible for Jay and Silent Bob surprised those in attendance with the very first trailer for Tusk. The film, …

First Image Of A Fully CG Spongebob Squarepants Is Kind Of Terrifying

Continuing what is sure to be several days worth of headlines coming out of San Diego Comic-Con International, the world has just received its first official look at the new Spongebob Squarepants.

I don’t know how many of you follow UTG on Twitter and Facebook, but you should know we often use those channels to share headlines and other information that does not necessarily fit our criteria for front page content. This includes, but is not limited to movie posters, album art, and every so often a handful of release dates.

Anyway, a couple weeks back we told our …

Video game fans, rejoice! The most anticipated video game adaptation in recent memory is finally moving a bit closer to becoming a reality.

In a new interview with Zap2It, filmmaker Seth Gordon revealed to fans and supporters that he believes the adaptation of Uncharted will enter production in early 2015. “I think very early next year. That’s the plan,” he said. “That’s like tomorrow, essentially, because the prep is so complicated for the movie.”

Another big complication? Finding the perfect actor to portray Nathan Drake. Having the right person in his shoes is critical to the movie’s success, which …

Kate Mara Claims New ‘Fantastic Four’ Will Not Be Based On Existing Comic Book Mythology

The last set of Fantastic Four films were far from cinematic treasures, but they had their roots firmly planted in the world of comics. Considering the fact we now live in a world flooded with comic-related films, one might think it a given that the new Fantastic Four franchise would do the same. Unfortunately, that does not appear to be the case.

Actress Kate Mara, who is currently set to play Sue Storm in director Josh Trank’s upcoming Fantastic Four reboot, recently revealed in an interview the new franchise may be unlike anything fans of the comic series have ever …

‘Conjuring’ Spin-Off ‘Annabelle’ Set For October Release

For the majority of 2014 I have been quietly obsessing over the fact that October has very few horror films scheduled for release, despite the fact it’s statistically one of the best times of the year for thrills and chills to debut on the silver screen. Thankfully, the house that James Wan built, or at least the crazy little doll that resides within it, have saved the day.

According to Variety, New Line has set an October 3 release date for The Conjuring spin-off known as Annabelle. No plot information has been released, but we believe the film …

‘All Is By My Side’ Trailer: Andre 3000 Is A Pretty Convincing Jimi Hendrix

XLrator Media has released the first trailer for Jimi: All Is By My Side.

We have known that Andre 3000 would be portraying rock legend Jimi Hendrix on the big screen for some time, but footage and images from the film have been few and far between. We saw one clip of a performance sequence earlier this year, but even after the film’s initial festival premiere promotion (and word on distribution) was quiet. This week, finally, that changed when the first teaser trailer became available.

Most biopics focus on the entirety of someone’s life, or at least their career, …

‘Pacific Rim 2′ Will Be “Very Different” From The Original

Not long ago, the internet suffered a small explosion of nerd-fueled joy when news broke that Pacific Rim 2 would be hitting theaters in 2017. Today, we learned what that sequel will entail.

Earlier this week, Guillermo del Toro sat down for an interview with the Wall Street Journal that touched on his career and where it might be headed in the years to come. Eventually, the conversation turned to Pacific Rim 2 and Del Toro unleashed just enough insight about the highly anticipated sequel to leave film fans chomping at the bit for more. He said:

‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Will Take Place In 1983

After the time-hopping of events found in Days Of Future Past, one might expect the next adventure featuring the X-Men to take place in the modern world. That does not appear to be the case, however, as a new interview with producer Simon Kinberg has revealed a far more retro setting for X-Men: Apocalypse.

On a new episode of The Q&A Podcast, host Jeff Goldsmith has the wonderful opportunity to speak with producer Simon Kinberg about his involvement in the X-Men franchise. A little over one hour into their conversation the topic moves from Days Of Future

‘Magic In The Moonlight’ Trailer: Woody Allen Knows What His Fans Want To See

After months of promotion and only a handful of stills, the first trailer for Woody Allen’s Magic In The Moonlight has been made available ahead of the film’s July 25 release.

Colin Firth stars as a world famous magician that makes a living on the side by debunking mystics, gypsies, and all others who attempt to rob or otherwise take advantage of those fooled by their slight-of-hand trickery. One day he is hired by a longtime friend to assist a wealthy family in the south of France that his friend believes is being deceived by a young women who claims …

As I Lay Dying Frontman Tim Lambesis Will Serve Six Years In Prison

A year has passed since As I Lay Dying frontman Tim Lambesis was arrested in connection to a murder-for-hire plot the vocalist was allegedly attempting to construct against his wife. Today, Lambesis was sentenced to six years in prison for his involvement in the plot, and according to reports he has no chance at parole.

According to Radio.com, Meggan’s family spoke during the hearing saying Lambesis showed no remorse and only cared about money during the proceedings:

Mike Murphy, Meggan’s father, was the first to speak to the court. As Lambesis watched intently, Murphy explained that some people talk

Latest ‘Interstellar’ Trailer Demands Best Picture Consideration

Oh, Christopher Nolan. When the rest of Hollywood begins to let us down I am confident you will continue to push the envelope of possibility and imagination, and that seems to be exactly what you have done with your latest work of potential cinematic glory.

When Interstellar was initially teased we knew almost nothing about what would happen in Nolan’s first feature since wrapping the Dark Knight trilogy, but we had an idea that it had something to do with space. In the trailer released today we learn that space is the answer to a question many refuse to ask …
