Vanna Demoing New Material, Plan To Announce Studio Time In The Near Future
Boston post-hardcore act Vanna have been relatively quiet since leaving their highly praised stint on Van’s Warped Tour, and this afternoon we learned why. According to a tweet sent from the band’s official Twitter, Vanna have already demoed four new songs and are planning to reveal studio plans in the near future. This will mark the group’s first recording effort since parting ways with longtime cleans vocalist Evan Pharmekis earlier this year, as well as the first time back in the booth since recording And They Came Baring Bones in early 2011.

Anthony Raneri (Bayside) has announced that he will enter Hurley Studios, in California, tomorrow to record a solo EP, set to drop in mid-January. This effort plans to feature Steve Choi (RX Bandits), Davey Warsop (Beat Union) and Jarrod Alexander (My Chemical Romance).
“This has been a long time in the making,” said Raneri, “I’m going to go into the studio and record four or five unreleased songs that I have written over the last three years. I always wanted these songs to see the light of day but I knew they wouldn’t work for Bayside.”
