UTG TV EXCLUSIVE: I Am The Avalanche In-Store Part 1: ‘Wolverines’

Last week, our buddies in I Am The Avalanche dropped their third album worldwide. Wolverines is the highly anticipated follow-up to the band’s 2011 release, Avalanche United.

One week prior to release, the band streamed the album in its entirety through Billboard. By the time Looney Tunes CDs hosted IATA’s in-store appearance, most fans already knew the words to all of the new songs. Conveniently scheduled on St. Patrick’s Day, vocalist Vinnie Caruana let the crowd feel his excitement to perform the new songs for the first time ever while also encouraging any of those celebrating the holiday to …

Finally, the day has come! This time it didn’t take way too many years to get some new music from the boys in I Am The Avalanche. Vocalist Vinnie Caruana (who we spoke with at Warped Tour) posted a photo to Instagram about an hour ago proclaiming the band’s third record was now complete.

“Album #3 is a wrap!!! Can’t fucking wait for you to have it in your life! Thanks to All at Barbershop Studios!”

The highly anticipated new album follows its predecessor Avalanche United which came out in 2011, six years after the initial self-titled release.…

UTG TV: RX Bandits Inside The Green Room

RX Bandits recently completed a nationwide tour celebrating the 10 year anniversary of their 2003 hit record The Resignation. To commemorate the occasion, the band played the record from front to back as fans sang along with smiles from ear to ear.

Also on the tour was Northern Faces, an indie outfit now residing with Equal Vision Records. When the Bandits played at Best Buy Theater in Times Square in late July, Under The Gun TV caught up with Steve Choi (guitar, more) and Matt Embree (vocals, guitar, more) to discuss the tour, LSD shooting guitar pedals, side …

UTG TV: Warped With Vinnie Caruana

Vinnie Caruana is a man of many hats. You may have heard of I Am The Avalanche, Peace’d Out, The Movielife or even his name as a solo artist.

Regardless of the platform, Caruana has been providing the music scene with jams for many years. For that reason, we chose to have him as our third installment of our UTG TV Warped series.

Catch our exclusive interview with Vinnie Caruana after the jump.…

Peace’d Out Discuss The Concept Of Their Debut Release

UTG’s close friends at Property Of Zack have premiered a video with Peace’d Out as their latest addition to the site’s “Behind The Booth” series.

As of right now, Peace’d Out hasn’t played any shows, and that could be due to the fact that the project is composed of busy musicians like Vinnie Caruana of I Am The Avalanche, Steve Choi of RX Bandits, Roger Camero of No Motiv, and Casey Deitz of The Velvet Teen.

While it’s only part one of three, the video really helps give insight on what the four piece experimental band believe it is that …

WATCH: Peace’d Out – “I Would Like. To Feed Your Fingertips. To The Wolverines.” (Live)

Peace’d Out, the supergroup featuring members from I Am The Avalanche, RX Bandits, the Velvet Teen, No Motiv, and the Warriors, have yet to tour or do a show. Nonetheless, after finishing their EP, they are now working on their debut full length recording. They’ve now released a video from their EP of them performing the song “I would like. To feed your fingertips. To the wolverines.” live.

The song features Peace’d Out playing at Bright Lights Studio. The track is killer, in our opinion – one of our favorites on the self-titled release we gave high

REVIEW: Peace’d Out – Peace’d Out

Artist: Peace’d Out
Album: Peace’d Out
Genre: Hardcore
Label: Siren

The last time I was in New York City, my friend Billy and I had cupcakes from Magnolia’s on 53rd street, and then we got vanilla milkshakes at a Mr. Softy’s. I’d never had Mr. Softy before, and the woman running the show immediately told us she made the greatest milkshakes in the world. I doubted her – they were five dollar milkshakes, so based on my Pulp Fiction watching, it better be damn good, but greatest? That’s ridiculous. She asked us to give us reviews out of 10. …

Nate Barcalow (ex-Finch), Matt Embree (ex-RX Bandits), & Vinnie Caruana (ex-The Movielife) To Do One Off Show

Nate Barcalow (ex-Finch, currently in both Earthbound Ghost and Reverend Crow), Matt Embree (formerly of the RX Bandits & Pebaluna), and Vinnie Caruana (formerly of The Movielife and now of Peace’d Out) have announced one show together, in Japan, called “Songs From Across The Sea”. The show is on December 2.

The show itself is a fairly surprising lineup for what it entails: each member is not known for their work as a solo artist, but each one will be taking the stage alone, just a man and their guitar. What’s more interesting is that Vinnie …
