UTG PHOTOS: The Boys of Zummer Tour – Wiz Khalifa & Fall Out Boy (6/16/15)

Under The Gun Review sent photographer Kellie Gannon to Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls, OH to shoot The Boys of Zummer Tour on June 16.

The Boys of Zummer tour rolled up at Blossom Music Center on a perfect summer evening. Pittsburgh rapper Wiz Khalifa teamed up with Chicago’s pop punk sweethearts, Fall Out Boy, to provide an unrivaled outdoor concert experience for thousands upon thousands of fans in attendance.

Wiz Khalifa kicked off his hour-plus-long set with the perfect summer tune, “Roll Up,” and immediately the crowded lawn beyond the amphitheater was overcome with a very obvious, smoky …

Fall Out Boy’s ‘From Under The Cork Tree’ Turns Ten

Place yourself in a room full of 18 to 20-something-year-olds today and make them listen to this three-second audio clip.

It takes me about a second to recognize the opening to “Sugar, We’re Going Down.” I’d imagine it’s the same for many. Hi-hats and two consecutive muffled kick drum beats are all it takes for a crowd to erupt with excitement in between sets at a rock show. I’ve seen it happen countless times. It’s pretty magical.

Taken from Fall Out Boy’s sophomore full-length record From Under The Cork Tree, “Sugar, We’re Going Down” serves as the …

Here’s Why It’s Okay To Think That Fall Out Boy Song Isn’t All That Great

This James Shotwell-opposing diss track began as a joke and gradually got a little heated. I was heckling him about his swooning over Fall Out Boy’s newly-released “Fourth Of July.” He gave me the title and suggested I write an anti-piece based on things I said. So here I am, probably more scathing and critical (and nonsensical) than I truly intend to be. Regardless, shots fired.

I’m not opposed to change. At all. In fact, I encourage and often embrace it. For the sake of this article, in terms of music, I’ll throw out recent examples like Pianos Become The …

Patrick Stump to Fill In For Ben Folds On NBC’s ‘The Sing Off’

Since its creation in 2009, NBC’s The Sing Off has rostered some pretty well-known musical judges to officiate, and occasionally participate, in the show’s a cappella performances.

To date, the list of celebrity judges is as follows: Ben Folds, Shawn Stockman (Boyz 2 Men), Sara Bareilles, Nicole Scherzinger, and Jewel.

Now, NBC can add Fall Out Boy‘s Patrick Stump to that list, as he steps in for the upcoming season in place of a touring Ben Folds.

SINGLE REVIEW: Fall Out Boy – “Immortals”

Artist: Fall Out Boy
Song: “Immortals
Album: Big Hero 6 OST

Less than a month after surprising fans with the release of their infectious single “Centuries,” the men of Fall Out Boy have returned with the debut of yet another new song.

Titled “Immortals,” the latest track from Chicago’s pop rock kings is not a promotional single doubling as FOB’s attempts to sell a Save Rock And Roll follow-up, but rather an original contribution to the upcoming Disney film Big Hero 6. We highlighted the track multiple times through social media yesterday, but just in …

Required Listening: Steve Aoki & Fall Out Boy – “Back To Earth”

It’s time to hit pause on that endless loop of “Centuries,” Fall Out Boy fans. The boys turned men from Chicago recently collaborated with EDM icon Steve Aoki on a new single and the audio just hit the net.

“Back To Earth” is the third song off Steve Aoki’s new album, Neon Future I, which arrived in stores earlier this week. The infectious track boasts big synth waves and powerful vocals from FOB frontman Patrick Stump. It all begins unassuming enough, but given the people behind the track you know it will eventually build to something much, …

Patrick Stump Destroys Heckler Shane Morris Over Twitter

Fall Out Boy. Love them or hate them, everyone you know has an opinion about them, and they’re probably not too afraid to share it. In light of the band’s success with Save Rock And Roll one might think the bashing and unnecessary jabs would slow, or at least diminish, but that does not seem to be the case. Now, frontman Patrick Stump has taken to Twitter to call out one of his hecklers, and the results are destined to become internet legend.

Starting around 3:30 PM (EST) today, Stump began posting a series of tweets responding to comments he …

REVIEW: Fall Out Boy – Save Rock and Roll

Artist: Fall Out Boy
Album: Save Rock and Roll
Genre: Pop/Rock
Label: Island/Decaydance

“We’re definitely writing all the time, so we’re not going to try to squeeze every last drop out of the stone. That’s part of what’s been wrong with the rock industry: they keep fans waiting far too long, and bands go away and disappear off the face of the planet. That’s not the way it’s going to be for Fall Out Boy.” – Pete Wentz (2007)

Patrick Stump Explains Our Hate Culture In Lengthy Blog Posting

Fall Out Boy frontman Patrick Stump spent a while organizing his thoughts about our country’s hate culture in a lengthy blog and can be read right here. Take time out of your day to scan what Stump is getting after and let UTG know if you can agree with his thought process.

“How many people reading this are fans of Nickelback? How about Dane Cook? Now, I can safely assume that, unless this blog gets reposted on a site dedicated to those respective artists, those questions would be met with tumbleweeds and the distant sound of crickets. Like Creed or

IT’S TIME: Fall Out Boy Reunited

“This has been said so many times that I’m not sure if it matters…”

Oh, but it does. The time is finally here, friends. The princes of pop punk have returned in the wake of 4 years of rumor and speculation. Fall Out Boy are reunited, PropertyOfZack tells us. Believers never die.

After announcing a hiatus in 2009, the band members went their separate ways to form new projects and explore solo ventures. Controversy followed, rumor was spread on a bi-monthly basis, and ultimately shut down. Each time pushing the pin a little bit deeper into the …

Patrick Stump Squashes FOB Rumor

Between this and the hiatus of Scissor Sisters, today is off to a rough start.

Yesterday, the blogosphere went nuts over Keltie Colleen letting the cat out of the bag that she knew “FOB were working on new songs.” Now, Patrick Stump has squashed that rumor. He took to his Twitter to say that “One of these days there may actually be news and you won’t be able to hear it over all the rumors.” He went on to call Keltie “awesome“; Keltie hasn’t yet commented on who her source(s) were or Stump’s …
