MUSIC VIDEO: Owl City – “Shine Your Way” feat. Yuna (From ‘The Croods’)

Adam Young of Owl City has teamed up with Yuna to deliver a new single from The Croods soundtrack, “Shine Your Way”.

After successfully pulling off one of the hit songs from the Wreck-It Ralph soundtrack, “When Can I See You Again?”, it only seems logical to continue the pattern with DreamWorks’ new animated flick, The Croods.

The video shows clips from the feature while Young and Yuna prance around the animated landscape. The Croods is set to hit theaters March 22. Check out the music video for “Shine Your Way” here.

STREAM: Owl City – “Feeder”

Adam Young of Owl City has released a new track entitled “Feeder” on his SoundCloud page.

Unlike Young’s most recent and somewhat controversial single, “Good Time” featuring Carly Rae Jepsen, or “When Can I See You Again?” featured on Disney’s Wreck-It Ralph soundtrack, “Feeder” is a short track that’s dark, creepy and generally unlike anything Young has released before.

“Feeder” can be streamed below. Who knows? May the track will find it’s way onto an upcoming Owl City album.

STREAM: Adam Young of Owl City Shares Instrumental Track

Adam Young of Owl City shared an instrumental track on his personal blog late last night.

“Random track I produced a long time ago that didn’t have room for vocals. Figured I’d share it,” Young posted.

The track is called “Ridiculously Happy” and is about as poppy as any other track the Owl City singer/songwriter has ever has released.

Young also recently released his music video for “When Can I See You Again?”, which is featured on the Wreck-It Ralph soundtrack.

Carly Rae Jepsen and Owl City Sued Over “Good Time”

If you’re reading this post and have yet to suffer through the Carly Rae Jepsen and Owl City’s single “Good Time,” consider yourself lucky. Released in August, this one song has single-handedly drilled its way so far into my subconscious that the meer utterance of “whoa-oh” from a passerby sends my whole body into a Top40-induced convulsions that mimic demonic possession.

Anyways, an aspiring songstress named Allyson Nichole Burnett claims the popular song rips off her 2010 single, “Ah, It’s a Love Song.” We’ve listened to the tracks and cannot say we hear the similarities, but perhaps our readers will …

MUSIC VIDEO: Owl City – “When Can I See You Again?” (From ‘Wreck It Ralph’)

Adam Young of Owl City has released his new video for “When Can I See You Again?”.

The song will be featured in Disney’s upcoming gamer-themed major motion picture, Wreck It Ralph.

Because of the song’s association with the film, the video features tons of video game themes such as arcade games and pixilated images as well as clips from the movie.

Pre-order the soundtrack for Wreck It Ralph, which features Owl City, Kool & The Gang, Skrillex and Rihanna, on iTunes here. Wreck It Ralph comes out in theaters on November 2. Check out the music …

REVIEW: Owl City – The Midsummer Station

Artist: Owl City
Album: The Midsummer Station
Genre: Synth-pop
Label: Universal Republic

Alas, I must disagree with the morals espoused on one of this album’s tracks – it is patently not always a “good time,” and you do need to try, and try much harder than this. Disappointingly for an artist who so impressed with last year’s All Things Bright and Beautiful, Adam Young’s Owl City seems to have gotten stuck in the muck with The Midsummer Station. It’s a frustratingly flavourless and uninspired listen, mired in its attempts to straddle synth, pop, something dance-like, and often failing …

Owl City Looking To Record “Screamo-Rock” Album

According to a recent interview with BBC Radio One Newsbeat, Owl CIty is planning on recording a “screamo-rock” album in the near future.

This is a pretty far stretch from the electronic feel-good pop songs he writes but we will see if this material stands up to his previous works. Read what Adam Young said by looking below and leave your thoughts in the comments section.

“Growing up I was really into the whole underground, obscure, artsy, heavy, screamo, chaotic, angry, angst music. I love it. That was my thing – that’s what I identified with. I grew up wanting
