Austin City Limits Festival Announces 2014 Lineup

Hey, look! It’s another 2014 festival lineup!

After expanding to two weekends for the 2013 festival, the 2014 edition of the Austin City Limits Music Festival will take place on October 3-5 and 10-12, featuring headlining sets from Eminem, Pearl Jam, Outkast, Skrillex, Beck and Calvin Harris. Given that ACL and Lollapalooza are produced by the same company (C3 Presents), there is typically a great deal of crossover between the two lineups. This certainly holds true in 2014, but it seems the identities of the two festivals are beginning to blur.

ACL has always skewed older than its sister festival …

Outkast’s First Live Performance In 10 Years Is Disappointing…For Outkast

UPDATE: You can now watch the entire 27-song performance after the jump.

One would imagine that Outkast‘s illustrious 20-year career would garner significant praise and response upon their arrival at Coachella this weekend as they performed for the first time together in nearly a decade. The Atlanta duo’s reunion has been talked about since the news broke in November and as Big Boi and Andre 3000′s well-deserved headlining spot provided hit after beloved hit for the massive Indio crowd–as well as guest appearances from Sleepy Brown, Janelle Monae, and Future—it became increasingly apparent that the attendees were either incredibly …

The Mad Decent Block Party Expands With Outkast, Fatboy Slim And More

The Mad Decent Block Party continues to grow. Last year it hit 13 cities around the US and this year they’re bumping that number up to 22.

This touring mad house offers up a different lineup at each spot. So those who are excited to see Outkast’s name on the list – hold on to your emotions. So far they’re only pegged down for the Colorado date. No worries though–they aren’t the only ones to head out for. Chance The Rapper, Fatboy Slim, Run The Jewels, Diplo and Action Bronson are all involved as well.

Things kick off July 26 …

Over It., to name just a small fraction of the great artists who will be playing this year. Check out the full list of acts right here.

Watch Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon Perform History of Rap Part 5

If you’re like me, then you’ve watched the four episodes of Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon performing the history of rap way too many times. Good news: now there’s a new one to memorize.

Last night Justin Timberlake went on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to do a reprise of their History of Rap series. Pay attention. They’ve merged recent hits with oldies for another good mix of rap, including Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Jay Z, N.W.A., OutKast, Dr. Dre, Kanye West, Run-D.M.C., Beastie Boys, Skee-Lo, LL Cool J, Biggie, and more. Watch it below:…

Watch Miley Cyrus Cover Outkast’s “Hey Ya!”

There might be parents out there who want the Bangerz Tour shut down, but that’s not stopping Miley Cyrus one bit. Her antics may’ve surpassed what we all thought she was capable of but at the end of the day it’s all about the music, right? So while she pleases the crowd with favorites, she also tosses in some covers like Outkast’s “Hey Ya!”

In between stimulating oral sex with a guy in a Bill Clinton mask and pretending to pleasure herself on top of a car, Cyrus does actually perform hits like “Wrecking Ball” and “We Can’t Stop.” She …

Sasquatch! Music Festival Announces Lineups for Both Weekends

With last year’s festival selling out in just 90 minutes, demand for the Sasquatch! Music Festival called for an expansion into a second weekend. But unlike Coachella or Austin City Limits, the two weekends of Sasquatch! feature completely different lineups, both of which were announced last night.

The Memorial Day weekend (May 23-25) lineup features OutKast, The National and Queens of the Stone Age in the headlining spots. OutKast should surprise no one, with this being roughly their 1000th festival gig since announcing their reunion a few weeks ago. The National and Queens of the Stone Age are more interesting …
