Jacob Tender Earlier today, we found out that Frank Turner was asked to play the Olympic Opening Ceremony by ceremony director Danny Boyle himself. Not an hour ago, those of us watching the event live heard a beautiful voice serenading those final few carrying the flame to the Olympic Torch. We’ve now learned that the voice was provided by Alex Trimble, lead vocalist of Two Door Cinema Club.
The song was “Caliban’s Dream” by Underworld and written by Rick Smith and it served as one of the final portions of the night’s proceedings. Alex, like Frank Turner, percussionist Dame Evelyn Glennie, …
