Hawthorne Heights found themselves in the spotlight this weekend after launching a number of special offers for fans around their upcoming stint on the Vans Warped Tour. As PropertyOfZack originally pointed out, the band’s offers included a chance to play guitar on “Ohio Is For Lovers” ($200), an opportunity to photograph the group’s set ($150), an acoustic mini-set ($75), and the opportunity to join the band for a day ($250). Under The Gun’s photographer, Tori Thomas attended the Twenty One Pilots show featuring New Politics and Five Knives at the LC Pavilion in Columbus, OH on April 26, 2013.

I arrived to this show expecting nothing but surprises, especially with this being a hometown show for Twenty One Pilots. First in the lineup was Five Knives, however I was unable to make it in time to see their set. Judging from a previous show I saw them at opening for TOP, I’m sure they set the mood for the evening with a flawless performance.

Attack Attack! Reveal Break Up Plans

Ohio’s Attack Attack! have announced that after six years and many lineups they will be calling it a day in the coming months.

UPDATE: Austin Carlile’s Preliminary Hearing Moved To April 29

We received a number of messages over the last week seeking an update to our report on the arrest of Austin Carlile in Bowling Green, OH during the last weekend in March on charges of felonious assault. Few additional details have surfaced in the weeks that have passed since we last posted about the situation, and the big take away today is that there will likely be no new information for at least another two weeks.

Mixtapes Announce New Album And Summer Tour

It’s been a while since we’ve had any news from Ohio’s Mixtapes, but it was all worth the wait. No Sleep Records has just announced that the pop-punk group will be releasing their sophomore LP, Ordinary Silence, on June 25.

This news came coupled with the announcement of a month long headlining tour. Included on the tour are the likes of You Blew It! and Lightyears, with Modern Baseball and Last Call splitting dates on the opening slot of the tour.

News of Austin Carlile’s arrest has quickly become the biggest story of today and it seems there is no end in site to the updates that we’ll be able to present in the coming hours.

Just a short while ago, one fan digging for details managed to find Carlile’s mugshot from the night of the incident. This photograph was taken after Carlile and the Of Mice & Men drum tech were arrested on charges of felonious assault in Bowling Green, Ohio. You can view the image below.
