Earl Sweatshirt Streams New Track, “45″

…or part of it at least.

On Wednesday, via Twitter, Odd Future heavyweight Earl Sweatshirt directed his followers’ attention to a YouTube stream for a track called “45.” However, as it runs just over a minute in length and ends somewhat abruptly, it sounds as though it may just be a clip or it fades into another track.

Judging by Earl’s tweet of “ALCHEMIST / SWAMPMAN,” we’d imagine that Alchemist handled the old school, ’70s-esque production.

Regardless of length, the bit we do get is super solid and we look forward to…the rest of it? Realistically, we look forward …

Trash Talk and Flatbush Zombies’ Drone-Shot “97.92″ Music Video Will Blow Your Mind

The way you view the world is about to get wonky. In the new video for their joint track “97.92,″ New York’s Flatbush Zombies and Trash Talk use a remote controlled drone to film some warped fish-eye shots from the air.

The video has quick movements with weird angles that make the singers look blown up, floating, and all in all pretty disproportionate. Get ready for the world to cave in and inverse itself. If that’s not your thing, grab a bag for air sickness and read a statement from the video’s creators, Aplusfilmz and Pier Pictures, to understand how …

Watch Earl Sweatshirt Debut a New Song in New York

Odd Future’s youngest member, Earl Sweatshirt, is currently on his “wearld tour” in support of his debut LP, Doris, out last year. On Thursday in New York City, the rapper performed a new track, showing he’s already looking ahead to work on a new record. Even though Doris is stacked with some impressive work, especially considering Earl only just turned 19, this new song packs quite a punch.

Odd Future Denied Entry To New Zealand Due To “Potential Threat To Public Order”

Back in 2011 when Tyler, The Creator made his TV debut on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, it seemed like the music world was terrified of Odd Future. Think pieces and reviews popped up everywhere, labeling Tyler’s video for “Yonkers” as disturbing or hailing it as genius. Fast forward three years and several albums later, and people still seem to be unapologetically terrified of Tyler and company’s well-documented antics. The hip-hop collective has been denied access to New Zealand and have cancelled their appearance at Rapture Festival this weekend. Immigration New Zealand commented on the situation to 3

Tyler, the Creator Disses YouTube Music Awards… Which He’s Performing At

Odd Future frontman Tyler, the Creator has taken to Twitter to yell a surprisingly thoughtful diss (in its overall meaning) about the first ever YouTube Music Awards. While it may seem hypocritical seeing he is set to perform at the awards, his gripe is actually directed at himself in a sense, since he’s angry artists–not directors–are the ones getting credit for the videos. Read his full tweet below:

MellowHigh Stream “Extinguisher,” Launch Album Preorder

What happens when you cross Odd Future‘s stoner deity Domo Genesis with fellow OFWGKTA members MellowHype (Left Brain and Hodgy Beats)? The answer is MellowHigh, the latest rap outfit aiming to conquer iTunes charts in the weeks ahead.

Given the number of collaborations Domo shared with Mellowhype, the birth of Mellowhigh was a long time in the making, but that does not make the resulting effort any less exciting. “Extinguisher,” the latest song to surface off the group’s upcoming mixtape, offers an off-the-cuff sound that harkens back to the early days of the Odd Future collective. All three …

Earl Sweatshirt Announces North American Tour

Odd Future affiliate Earl Sweatshirt has announced he will be heading out on a North American tour this fall in support of his recently released debut studio full-length, Doris. The tour would not be complete without some friends in tow, though, so Hodgy Beats, Domo Genesis, and Vince Staples will all be making appearances on the trek as well.

There is no confirmation on which dates the other acts will be performing at, but make sure to follow the jump for the dates and locations and see if Earl will be heading to your city. …

Tyler, The Creator Shares Trailer For New Film ‘Wolf’

Odd Future ringleader Tyler, The Creator has released a short trailer for an upcoming film he has created entitled, Wolf.

Released over the last day with little promotion in advance, the trailer for Wolf is about as vague as promotional trailers can be. Tyler is heard asking for a cigarette, which he then lights and proceeds to choke on, before informing his friends they can go ahead and kill someone. The scene cuts to a wide angle shot to reveal Tyler is on the side of an empty stretch of road watching two friends beat someone who is lying …

MUSIC VIDEO: Hodgy Beats ft. Left Brain – “Karateman”

Odd Future‘s own Hodgy Beats has just released the music video for “Karateman,” the single featuring his MellowHype partner Left Brain. The video takes place at a late night party. That means beautiful women, alcohol, and the real part of any good party: the rest of the Odd Future gang. Thanks to some panning shots and creative lighting, it’s more entertaining than it sounds. Watch it after the jump.

“Karateman” is off his latest solo project, Untitled 2. We’ve already seen a music video for “Alone,” and it seems the video for “Karateman” is just as …

ALBUM STREAM: Earl Sweatshirt – ‘Doris’

It feels like Doris has been just around the corner forever now but today we finally get to experience Earl Sweatshirt’s debut studio album in full as he’s streaming it on Odd Future’s Tumblr almost a full week ahead of its actual release date.

Featuring 15 tracks with guest spots from many Odd Future affiliates and more, including Mac Miller and RZA, Doris has been one of the most anticipated releases in hip-hop this year. We’ve got tastes of the album in recent month on cuts like “WHOA,” “Sunday,” “Burgundy,” and “Hive,” …

Earl Sweatshirt Debuts “Burgundy” Featuring Vince Staples

Odd Future member Earl Sweatshirt  has released a stream of a brand new song entitled, “Burgundy.”

The latest song to surface from Doris, which is scheduled for release August 20, “Burgundy” is another thought-provoking take on modern hip hop. Sweatshirt has yet to release any album material that plays like your typical song (verse/chorus/verse), and the Pharrell produced “Burgundy” is no different. The focus is on the verses, which Sweatshirt and guest Vince Staples deliver with precision well beyond their years, and the final results are good for kicking back and appreciating the true art of rap.

The release …
