Last week UTG brought you our Top 10 favorite albums of this year, as nominated and voted on by the staff. Well today we’re pleased to give you each member’s individual picks for the best of the year.

Topshelf And No Sleep Records To Release Compilation

Topshelf and No Sleep Records have announced that they are planning to put out a compilation, entitled 2,995 Miles Between Us, and UTG has all of the details right here. This release will feature unreleased and rare songs from both labels’ bands and will drop on May 22.

No Trigger & Heartsounds UK/Europe Tour

No Trigger have announced that they will be heading out on a UK and European tour, with friends Heartsounds, in late May.

STREAM: No Trigger – Checkmate

Massachusetts-based punk-hardcore band No Trigger released a new song called Checkmate off of their upcoming sophomore album Tycoon, which can be heard after liking their facebook. Checkmate keeps the signature No Trigger fast-paced punk sound, with vocals and guitar work that heavily improve in quality from their previous releases (the album was recorded by Defeater’s guitarist Jay Maas). Fans of old punk-hardcore acts Kid Dynamite and Lifetime will feel right at home here with fast chord changes and scratchy, honest vocals.

Tycoon comes out on February 21, via No Sleep Records, and the record will mark their first full-length …
