From The Appleseed Cast’s Facebook page, the band has updated a slew of new spring tour dates, some of which include shows with The Sound of Animals Fighting.

The band, who recently released their latest album, Illumination Ritual, (which made my Best Of 2013 In Music, list) has been playing countless shows since its release last April. I was gifted with the chance of seeing them in Cambridge, MA a few weeks before the album came out, and their stellar performance has been constantly reaffirmed in my mind.

Conor Oberst Announces New Album ‘Upside Down Mountain’ and Tour, Shares “Hundreds of Ways”

Bright Eyes’ mastermind Conor Oberst has finally revealed his plans for 2014.

Conor Oberst has announced plans to release his new album, Upside Down Mountain, on May 21 via Nonesuch records. A new song titled “Hundreds Of Ways,” which will be released as part of a limited edition 7″ on Record Store Day (April 19) can be streamed below.

News of a new album follows recent reports that Oberst spent time in recent months recording in Nashville. No track list or album art are available at this time, but you can rest assured we will bring you those details …

Black Lips have announced a slew of North American tour dates that will run from the first week of March to the first week of May. These tour dates include the band spending almost a week at this year’s SXSW. They will have support by Deerhunter, The Coathangers and Natural Child off and on for their entire tour. Volumes and Glass Cloud will be hitting up the West Coast and parts of the Southwest next month for a grand total of eight days with Beyond The Shore.

“It’s a tour many of you have been requesting for some time now… We are finally teaming up with our friends in Volumes and Beyond The Shore for a west coast run!” Glass Cloud posted to Facebook.

Indie-pop Canadian sisters, Tegan and Sara released a brand new song entitled “Shock To Your System” off of their forthcoming Warner Bros release, Heartthrob.

In support of their upcoming release, Renacer, Senses Fail will head out on tour during April and May with Such Gold, Real Friends and Major League. Renacer, the band’s fifth full-length release, is set to drop on March 26 via Staple Records.

Crystal Castles will be heading out on tour in support of their third studio album, III, this spring.

The tour will kick off in Miami as the band makes appearances at Miami’s Ultra Music Festival on March 15 and 25. After that, Crystal Castles will hit the road on April 17, beginning in Atlanta, Georgia. The tour will then continue to make it’s way around the U.S., landing in Boston, Massachusetts on May 13.

Silverstein to Record New Album, Tour in 2013

Canadian post-hardcore band Silverstein have announced on their facebook that they are going to record and tour in 2013. The band has one date left on their current tour, and will then begin recording.

Silverstein released their sixth album, Short Songs, back in February. The album was unique in that no song was longer than 96 seconds in time.
