Riff Raff Action Bronson

Hear Riff Raff and Action Bronson Team Up on “Rookies of the Future”

When Jody Highroller puts anything out, it’s safe to bet the song will be as ridiculous as the rapper’s entire look. On his newest track, Riff Raff skirts around any incredible lines by relying on a pretty smooth beat, courtesy of Alchemist, and the hard-hitting words of fellow rapper Action Bronson. The song, titled “Rookies of The Future,” sees both men exchanging verses over the course of the 3-minute song, although truth be told, the song feels much longer in the best way possible.

Don’t forget to check out Action Bronson’s latest video, “Easy Rider,” which sees …

SOHN

SOHN Streams New Single “The Chase”

Electronic musician SOHN dropped his debut album, Tremors, via 4AD earlier this year. The Vienna-based musician is now returning to our attention with a brand new song called “The Chase”.”

The track is a modern ambient piece that sees SOHN singing beautifully over it. Sporadic synth pools in the background before ’80s-style keys make an appearance. All in all, it’s well worth the listen, especially if you’ve been burning through Tremors. Give it a listen after the jump.

SOHN will also be touring this September around England. He kicks off his dates at the iTunes Festival in Lodnon before …

Buke and Gase

Buke and Gase Share Single, Announce Tour

Buke and Gase are more than an experimental duo; they’re inventors. Brooklyn musicians Arone Dyer and Aron Sanchez made their instruments–the “toebourine” and “buke,” for example–by hand. Not only that, but their music stretches boundaries farther than we’re used to, all while maintaining a catchy-enough riff to keep us following along on their absurd path. It’s time to get our shoes back on for a hike, because the two have announced both a new single called “Seam Esteem” and a tour around the East Coast, Canada, and Midwest.

According to the press release, they wanted to raise their glass ceiling …

Eminem Announces New Album, Streams ‘The Equalizer’ Soundtrack Single Feat. Sia

It seems rap legend Eminem has been pretty busy lately. After finishing ‘The Monster Tour‘ with Rihanna, the 7-time VMA nominee took home the award for “Best Editing” with his music video for “Rap God” at last night’s MTV Video Music Awards. But that’s not all; in the last 24 hours, Em also debuted a new single, entitled “Guts Over Fear,” featuring Sia. The song will be featured on the soundtrack for the latest Denzel Washington flick, The Equalizer.

But wait, there’s more! Last night at the VMAs, Eminem announced that he would be releasing a new …

Cobra Starship 2012

Hear Cobra Starship and Icona Pop Team Up In “Never Been In Love”

It’s been three years since Cobra Starship‘s  last album, Night Shades. Now they’re back and teaming up with radio hit duo Icona Pop for their new single, “Never Been In Love,” which everyone has been talking about, from Pete Wentz to Panic! At The Disco. Prepare yourself, though. It sounds pretty different from their previous works.

The song’s keyboard and chord progression are reminiscent of Fatboy Slim’s “Praise You,” but it still maintains the characteristics that make it a Cobra Starship hit, even with the glossing of Icona Pop. Although considering the band wrote a song about …

Stolas Announce New Album, Stream “Solunar”

Following their impressive 2013 debut, Living Creatures, Las Vegas shredders Stolas are already set to release their followup this October. Titled Allomaternal, the band’s newest effort will be released on October 15 via Blue Swan Records.

To coincide with the album’s announcement, the band are currently streaming its lead single, titled “Solunar.” Retaining many of the elements found on their previous release, Stolas are back with a very Blue Swan sound — meaning that they still certainly fit in with their label mates in Hail The Sun, Secret Band, and Sianvar (the latest post-hardcore amalgam consisting of members …

Give it a listen at the 30:52 mark over at BBC’s website.

Blake stopped by BBC Radio 1 earlier this year to debut new material as well (which you can hear here). Last spring, he

Ultimate Painting

Ultimate Painting’s Debut Single Is Your End of Summer Jam

We’re pretty sure we just found the only good thing about summer ending: a new single to soundtrack your final sunsets. Indie rock duo Ultimate Painting are putting out their self-titled debut on October 28 via Trouble In Mind, and lead single “Winter In Your Heart” is what we need right now.

If their voices sound familiar, that’s because Ultimate Painting is Jack Cooper from Mazes and James Hoare from Veronica Falls. The self-titled debut was recorded on tape in Hoare’s flat over the course of a few months, aiming to capture the beautiful simplicity of Ray Davies, early-70s New …

Hilary Duff Releases Risque “All About You” Lyric Video

Now 10 years removed from her Lizzie McGuire days, actress and singer Hilary Duff has returned from a long hiatus to release her fifth studio album. Last month, Duff announced that RCA Records will be releasing her untitled upcoming album, off which she released a music video for the leading single “Chasing The Sun.”

Building additional hype for the upcoming release, Duff shed all her clothes for a risque lyric video to accompany her second single titled “All About You.” The song itself sounds a lot like The Lumineers with a heavy dash of modern pop, particularly in …
