Broken Lips Share New Single, “Chains of Grudge”

The post-hardcore foursome known as Broken Lips have released their first song of the new year. After relocating to San Diego and putting the finishing touches on the lineup, the band has begun work on their second, yet-untitled EP.

The song, “Chains of Grudge,” talks about the band’s journey, after moving across the pond from Puerto Rico and diving headfirst into the music industry. They released the single and accompanied it with a vibrant and dark music video.

Frontwoman Rubina Altreche had a few words to say about the heaviness and impact of the change described in the new song: …

Good Luck Varsity Release Second Track From Final Album

When Good Luck Varsity was white-hot, they entered the studio to record their first full-length record. Countless EPs and years of progress led to that point and fans’ mouths were watering at the thought. Unfortunately, the band announced their split and the record was shelved for quite a while.

Meanwhile, guitarist/vocalists Evan Baker and Ryan Scott Graham went onto other projects; Baker forming American Arson, and Graham joining the exploding State Champs to play bass. Over the year that passed, the guys of Good Luck Varsity began to put their differences aside and discuss the unreleased record.

Hit The Lights Stream New Single, “Fucked Up Kids”

Earlier today, Ohio’s Hit The Lights joined forces with Alternative Press to share the first single off their highly anticipated album, Summer Bones. Experience “Fucked Up Kids” by following the jump below, and let us know what you think in the replies.

“’Fucked Up Kids’ is inspired by the fear older generations tend to have of a younger generation that they can’t understand or relate to,” vocalist Nick Thompson told AP. “That same younger generation recycles that fear onto the next and causes these ideological rifts between us. We end up with this weird tug-of-war with each generation claiming …

In Tall Buildings

Hear In Tall Buildings’ Melodic ’70s Pop on “Unmistakable”

On February 17, indie rock solo project In Tall Buildings will drop his sophomore album, Driver. It’s a moody record of intimate vocals and quiet funk based off what we’ve heard so far, and now with his newest single, “Unmistakable,” streaming online, we can go ahead and tell you it’s one of our most anticipated underdog releases of the year.

The Chicago native isn’t looking to reinvent the past. His nods to Peter Gabriel and Afropunk are woven in with the natural efforts of someone blending electronic pop and synth funk in their head. With Erik Hall’s warm vocals, …

Riff Raff and Rae Sremmurd have each had their most successful year as artists in 2014, so it may come as no surprise that the rap heavyweights are kicking off 2015 with a collaborative single you won’t soon forget.

Taken from Mike Will Made It‘s recently released Ransom mixtape, “Choppin” will soon be the official new single from Riff Raff and Rae Sremmurd. The track boasts bass-heavy production and an infectious hook that sticks in your mind like peanut butter to the roof of your mouth. Madonna Rebel Heart

Madonna Announces New Album ‘Rebel Heart’ Feat. Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, and Diplo

When Madonna‘s demos leaked earlier this week, she was rightfully devastated. The pop icon called it an “artistic rape” and a “form of terrorism,” but now she’s fighting back by announcing the album officially and dropping six tracks to stream.

Her new album, titled Rebel Heart, drops March 10 via Interscope and sees help from Kanye West, Diplo, and Nicki Minaj (who hops on the fiercely titled “Bitch I’m Madonna”). Supposedly, Madonna also worked with Sophie, Blood Diamonds, DJ Dahi, and maybe even Ariel Pink. More of the album’s songs will be out on February 9.

ILoveMakonnen Shares New Mike WiLL Make It Single “Swerve”

Upcoming emcee ILoveMakonnen has been getting a ton of hype as this year has progressed, and with the last few days of the year beginning to wrap up, he dropped a new single for us to chew over until we see what he brings in 2015.

The single, titled “Swerve,” sees classic production from Mike WiLL Made It and Marz. It’s a loose track that unexpectedly brings jazz flutes on to round out a subtle cruiser. Just wait until you start hearing it in the background of every single Vine. Regardless, we can’t help but think it would be a …

Nicki Minaj the Pinkprint

Hear Nicki Minaj and Beyoncé on “Feelin’ Myself”

Earlier this year, Beyoncé brought Nicki Minaj onboard for an intense remix of “Flawless” in the way that the quick spitter can make possible. Now, Minaj has shared a brand new single featuring Queen B called “Feelin’ Myself” off her upcoming studio album, The Pinkprint, out December 16 via Young Money, and it gets a little grittier.

Produced by Hit-Boy, “Feelin’ Myself” is a glitchy beat that saunters in low tones, remaining relatively dark throughout until Beyonce’s bright vocals lighten things up. There’s no beef here. Instead, the two divas take it slow, letting their lines speak for themselves …
