System Of A Down Bassist Blames Frontman Serj Tankian For Lack Of New Music

System Of A Down have not released a new album since 2005. In the time that has passed since that time UTG was born, over a dozen writers for the site graduated college, and the face of mainstream rock has completely changed at least three times over. Still, even with all that has happened, fans of SOAD continue to ask the band for new material and until now they have received almost nothing in the form of a response.

Taking to Facebook recently, System Of A Down bassist Shavo Odadjian blamed the lack of new music on frontman Serj Tankian …

Dance Gavin Dance Release Statement on Craig Dismissal

Controversial post-hardcore outfit, Dance Gavin Dance, have released a statement confirming yesterday’s news that clean vocalist Jonny Craig has been kicked out of the band. DGD asserts that Craig’s recent public scolding at the hands of Sumerian Records CEO, Ash Avildsen, during DGD’s recent stint on the All Stars tour was the final straw. Check out what Dance Gavin Dance had to say after the jump.

Although DGD make no mention of Craig’s replacement, multiple sources have confirmed that former Tides of Man vocalist, Tilian Pearson, will be joining the group as their new lead singer. Dance Gavin Dance …

Tom Degrazia Rejoins That’s Outrageous!, Drama Proven Unnecessary

In a mildly-surprising twist, vocalist Tom Degrazia has officially rejoined That’s Outrageous.

Degrazia left TO! a few months back and until recently it seems the group may fade into obscurity, but apparently that is no longer the case. In a letter to fans, Degrazia wrote:

I’m pretty positive a ton of people will be questioning why I’m back in That’s Outrageous! I’m going to spare the usual boring blog and get right to it. Last year a band that was my brain child was taken from me. A few of the current members were manipulated by a few of the

Queen w/ Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga asked to be Queen’s new vocalist

If you thought you misread this article’s title, I’ll give you a second to take a second look. This may sound like a joke or internet rumor, but I assure you, it is not. You read it right. In a chat with Express, Queen guitarist Brian May discussed the possibility of Lady Gaga filling the hole Freddie Mercury left 20 years ago.

May (who has a PhD in Astrophysics) joined the iconic rock band in 1971, usually providing the lower backing vocals between the 3 vocalists, most prominently Mercury. He takes credit for composing classics such as “We Will …
