You can check out what we had to say about Talon of the Hawk right here. Short form: we loved it.
Listen to the record after the break, but make sure you let us know what you think of the new record in the comments section.
The Bad Rabbits are at it again.
Less than a week before American Love drops (preorder it), Boston’s Bad Rabbits have released another single for fans to enjoy. “Can’t fool Me” harken’s back to the style of the Stick Up Kids EP from a few years back (more so than the other recent singles, that is), and is just as fun, boisterous, and funky as we have come to expect. You can stream the new jam right after the jump.
Bad Rabbits are an incredible live band. Click here to see their upcoming tour dates.
The 2-piece emo/punk band from New Jersey, Dads, has officially signed to 6131 Records. The label and band will be wasting no time and are slated to unleash their new 4-song EP, Pretty Good, this summer 2013.
The band had this to say via their official website,
“We are extremely happy to announce that we have signed with 6131 Records and will be releasing a four-song EP, Pretty Good, this summer. We can’t even begin to thank everyone that has been along with us for this ride we call Dads but we can say that we
While the world patiently awaits her Universal debut, Angel Haze keeps her underground hype alive and well with the release of a new track entitled, “Lofticries.”
Posted to Soundcloud earlier today, “Lofticries” is actually a leftover from Haze’s 2012 EP Reservation. The track boasts a hypnotic beat that plays so smoothly it might as well be whiskey for your ears. Haze has a flow second-to-none, and it’s clear on this track that the other major females in hip hop may want to watch their back in the coming months. You can stream and download “Lofticries” after the jump.

Fleetwood Mac have slowly been stepping back into the music spotlight lately. After teasing crowds on their recent world tour with 2 new songs, Fleetwood Mac finally drops the long awaited, Extended Play. The new EP marks the first new music from the band in a decade.
While 10 years may seem like an awful long time, it’s nothing compared to nearly half a century, which is almost how long it took to release a studio version of the song, “Without You.” The track dates back to the early 70s, where the duo of Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks …
Aritst: Pop Evil
In the twelve years since their inception, Michigan’s Pop Evil have undergone their fair share of changes. Members, style, labels, you name it and there is a decent change the group has made some kind of tweak in the last decade. This is not a complaint, however, as every new evolution of the group has made them a tighter, more focus band. Since 2010′s War Of Angels the group has again undergone changes, including the addition of drummer Chachi Riot and guitarist Nick Fuelling, as well as their decision to not …
Former Red Hot Chili Pepper John Frusciante has had a long and scattered solo career. Ever since he left the band for a second time, updates from him are few and far between, with the biggest news being the surprise that he may work with Danny Carey from Tool and cEvin Key from Skinny Puppy on some new tunes.
Last night, Frusciante gave us a new instrumental that was a tribute to his newly passed away friend, Wayne Forman. His post reads
“This song was recorded for my friend Wayne Forman, the coolest, kindest friend anybody could ever …
Anyone needing further proof Chris Carrabba was a lover and not a fighter need look no further than the latest development with his new band, Twin Falls.
Just two weeks after making their debut at SXSW, Twin Falls have announced they are changing their name to Twin Forks following complaints from another band currently using the name. In a post on Facebook, Twin Falls (US) wrote:
It seems our choice of band names has upset the apple cart. Sorry for that. There are three other bands who have used the name. If you came here looking …
According to the most hypercritical news post I’ve seen made on a website other than UTG, HiM have signed to Razor & Tie Records. Their next album, Tears On Tape, will be released on April 30. At first, I thought that album title was just a play on sadder sounding music, but it turns out that it is actually the album title.
A tour is expected to be announced next week, according to the press release. Tears On Tape will be the first record the band has done since 2010′s Screamworks: Love in Theory and Practice released on Sire …
