As I Lay Dying Members Continue Teasing New Music

This is becoming a regular part of my daily routine. The four remaining members of As I Lay Dying who aren’t facing a nine-year prison sentence have once again taken to Instagram to post their third series of cryptic videos teasing new music, and perhaps an entirely new project.

Yesterday’s videos implied the band would distance themselves from the As I Lay Dying moniker by teasing a new band logo, suggesting the band’s new name would start with a W (or maybe include two of them?). The first series of teasers seemed to signal bassist/vocalist Josh Gilbert would be taking …

As I Lay Dying Move Forward Without Tim Lambesis, Preview New Music

With vocalist Tim Lambesis tied up in legal matters and facing up to nine years in prison with his sentence hearing scheduled to take place on May 2, As I Lay Dying fans have been left wondering about the future of the band. They’ve been quiet to this point, but have now broken their silence as the four remaining members of As I Lay Dying have taken to Instagram to answer those questions. Sort of.

Each band member has uploaded separate video clips featuring snippets of new material they have presumably recorded in Lambesis’ absence. In addition to showcasing the …

Michael Jackson’s New Record ‘Xscape’ Drops In May

It’s been almost five years since Michael Jackson passed away, but like many fallen stars, there was of course unreleased material waiting in the wings. So fans can expect new music from the King of Pop when Xscape drops in May.

The album shares its name with one of the 8 tracks on the new record. L.A. Reid, the project’s executive producer, said, “Michael left behind some musical performances that we take great pride in presenting through the vision of music producers that he either worked directly with or expressed strong desire to work with,” adding, “We are extremely proud …

Get “Faded” With The Latest Track From The Mysterious Artist Known As Zhu

Have you heard of Zhu? No? They are only the hottest somebody who is choosing to remain nobody of the moment!

In all seriousness, Zhu is somewhat of an oddity in the digital age. After rising to viral music blog fame with a mashup/cover of Outkast and Maroon 5 titled “Moves Like Ms. Jackson,” the artist known as Zhu only revealed their identity after their debut track garnered over 100,000 plays (it’s now closing in on 300k). The name was followed by the debut of a second track, “Superfriends,” which has now been followed by …

Brody Dalle Releases New Track “Parties For Prostitutes”

It’s not your typical party song or subject manner but Brody Dalle, formerly of The Distillers, has released her latest single “Parties For Prostitutes.”

It’s less abrasive than the first solo track she dropped back in February, “Meet The Foetus/Oh The Joy.” This one sounds more like demented trip down the White Rabbit’s hole. It’s probably less punk stricken than the last because it doesn’t have Garbage’s Shirley Manson and Warpaint’s Emily Kokal on hand. “Parties For Prostitutes” plays more like a toned down version of what Dalle is capable of.

With it being almost eight years since …

Stream: Skrillex Featuring Ellie Goulding – “Because”

There was a time not all that long ago when EDM innovator Skrillex was romantically linked to chart-topping pop sensation Ellie Goulding. Their love was the talk of the dance music scene, and during their time together the pair reportedly worked on a number of songs that up to this point have (at most) only been teased during live shows. That is, until now.

Ellie Goulding recently created a mix for Annie Mac, and buried amidst nearly an hour of music was one of the ‘lost’ songs from Goulding’s time with Skrillex. The track is titled “Because,” but was …

The Ocean Between Us Reunite, Working On New Music

Bands break up all of the time. There are as many reasons as there are artists, and they range from animosity between members, child birth or they simply fall out of love with the music. In The Ocean Between Us‘ case, the band battled financial hardship for too long and couldn’t fight it anymore. Their frontman parted ways with the band just days after their (fantastic) debut full length album came out, and they’ve been quiet ever since.

That all changed yesterday. The Ocean Between Us posted a Facebook update announcing that the members will be getting …

Listen To Johnny Cash’s Long Lost Duet With Waylon Jennings

Back in the mid-1980s Columbia Records wanted to push Johnny Cash back into the spotlight and revamp his career. Well, the Man in Black ended up leaving his label in 1985 and the whole record was forgotten. Now it’s resurfaced and songs are trickling out, like his duet with Waylon Jennings, “I’m Movin’ On.”

The lost record, Out Among the Stars, would’ve stayed a mystery if it wasn’t for the late singer’s son, John Carter Cash. He found the tapes in his parents’ home and now it’s finally going to be released. Better two decades later than never, right? …

Skrillex Debuts New Collaboration With Chance the Rapper

Skrillex recently treated fans in Brooklyn to the debut of a new collaboration with Chicago artist Chance The Rapper. Lucky for us, someone caught the whole thing on video.

Halfway through his set last night, Skrillex checked in with fans before transitioning into the world premiere of a brand new track featuring Acid Rap star Chance The Rapper. It’s likely the product of the pair’s recent studio time with Mike Will Made It, but at this time that information is impossible to confirm. What we do know is that the track sounds awesome, and those hungry for a taste …

Action Bronson and Riff Raff Collaborate On “Grammy”

Riff Raff‘s long-awaited debut album may still be in label limbo, but that is not stopping hip-hop’s most viral rapper from releasing another banger worthy of radio play.

Collaborating with the one and only Action Bronson, Riff Raff goes in about his frustrations over not being nominated for awards at music’s biggest night on “Grammy.” Both emcees bring their lyrical A-game to the affair, with each one delivering a new verse that is sure to leave your speakers smoking. You can stream the song, which is currently available on iTunes, below.

There was a time when the …
