Reggie and the Full Effect Begin Recording New Album

A little over two months ago, Reggie and the Full Effect created a Kickstarter to fund their new album, No Country For Old Musicians. Today, frontman James Dewees announced that the recording process has officially begun via an update to Kickstarter backers.

“It feels so amazing to be back doing reggie again,” wrote Dewees. “I hope you are ready for the insanity that is about to begin! I know I am!”

No Country For Old Musicians successfully passed its goal of $50,000 a week before the campaign was scheduled to end (and with an extra $8,081 to spare).…

New Found Glory released a special EP for Record Store Day filled with covers they recorded of some popular Ramones songs. The EP, titled Mania, can be purchased on iTunes as well for only $5.94. Chad Gilbert Blogs About Last Night’s Incident

In case you’ve missed all the buzz, Chad Gilbert of New Found Glory was electrocuted last night by a faulty mic while the band was recording their set for a live DVD. He was released from the hospital earlier today so naturally he quickly went online to let fans know what happened. You can read what he had to say by taking a look below the jump. We’re glad to announce that in wake of last night’s news of Chad Gilbert being electrocuted from a microphone during one of two performances at Anaheim, California’s Chain Reaction for New Found Glory‘s upcoming live album, the guitarist has now been released from the hospital.

BREAKING: Chad Gilbert Shocked On Stage By Microphone; Collapses

Purevolume is reporting that Chad Gilbert, lead guitarist of New Found Glory was electrically shocked onstage at a performance in Anaheim, California this evening.

Word comes from a photographer in attendance who explains that a faulty microphone at Chain Reaction sent Gilbert to the floor and, subsequently, backstage.

New Found Glory was playing the venue this evening in the first of two audio captured performances that would comprise a live album.

After collapsing, Gilbert was taken backstage while the rest of the band performed without him. The audience was informed that the musician was ok, but would not be …

Shortly after the band’s SXSW set at The Belmont, Paramore launched a stream of “Still Into You”, the second single off of the band’s self titled album to be released on April 9.

The song follows the same sonic-direction that’s been shown through their first single off of Paramore, “Now”, and tells the story of Hayley Williams’ longtime relationship with New Found Glory‘s Chad Gilbert.

According to MTV, the trio plans to shoot a music video for the track in Austin, TX later this week.

New Found Glory Announces Ramones Cover Album for Record Store Day

Well this is awesome: Chad Gilbert of New Found Glory fame announced via his Instagram that New Found Glory will be releasing a Ramones cover album for Record Store Day this year called Mania. While no info has been released about the tracklisting of the record, you can check out the artwork after the break.

This album will be available in limited quantities on Record Store Day, which is April 20. New Found Glory has done a cover set of Ramones songs with Marky Ramone himself at Bamboozle in 2011, so this cover album isn’t completely out in left …

Coral Springs, FL pop-punk act New Found Glory have announced a spring tour, and have plans to include Cartel and Canadian punks Living With Lions in on the action.

Chad Gilbert of New Found Glory is taking his solo project, What’s Eating Gilbert, on the road this April.

The predominantly East Coast tour will start in Newport, Kentucky on April 12, making its way to New England before heading south, ending in Nashville, Tennessee on April 25.

Joining Gilbert on this tour will be The Here And Now (featuring Alan Day of Four Year Strong) and Diamond Youth on select dates.

New Found Glory Demoing New Songs

According to a tweet sent by New Found Glory guitar player, Chad Gilbert, the group is demoing new songs.

“Just finished up 2 more @NewFoundGlory demos for new songs with my man @CyrusBalooki!” the guitar player tweeted.

For a band that was supposed to “go away for a bit” after their fall tour last year, New Found Glory seems to continue to push on. For instance, in addition to these new songs, the group recently announced the California venue where they’ll be recording their live album to be released later this year.
