Dikembe Tease New ‘Ledge’ EP

Dikembe have a new EP in the works, and teased it to fans today on their YouTube channel.

The promo video gives listeners an inside look at their recording process while providing a sample to the sounds they are making. Not much is revealed by this video, but along with the video it was annunced that the EP will be released this June and pre-orders will be available soon.

Shapes & Colors Announce New EP, Release “Rise” Music Video

After a successful crowdfunding campaign, the Michigan band Shapes & Colors took off to record their upcoming release with producer Aaron Sprinkle.

Months later, the band has returned with a brand new music video from the EP, as well as a release date.

On Display will arrive on March 3, and meanwhile, fans can check out the official video for the song “Rise.”

The man who never stops making music is once again making new music. Garage rock god Ty Segall is back with a new EP titled Mr Face that serves as a follow-up to last year’s excellent Manipulator. The gatefold boule 7″ EP drops January 13 via Famous Class. Pre-orders are ongoing here.

Elder Brother To Release Surprise EP Next Week

After the release of their debut album, Heavy Head, in March of 2014, indie punk duo Elder Brother, consisting of Kevin Geyer (The Story So Far) and Dan Rose (Daybreaker), have been keeping themselves busy with stints on the Vans Warped Tour and more recently on Anthony Green’s headlining shows.

Tonight on their official Twitter page, the band announced they would be releasing an EP next week. You can view the tweet at the end of this post.

Stream St. Vincent’s Tropical ‘Pieta’ EP

In October, St. Vincent announced she would release a two-song 10″ EP for Record Store Day’s Black Friday event. Thanks to the internet, both tracks off the EP, “Pieta” and “Sparrow”, are online to stream in full.

The vinyl comes in a bright package designed by Willo Perrnon (the man responsible for all the visuals on her world tour) and each is individually numbered. The songs are, according to RSD’s website, a “deep musing on death and loss that recalls the sonic textures of Big Science-era Laurie Anderson,” but to us they sound rather tropical and snarky. Prawn Share New Single, “Built For”

New Jersey is bringing emo rock back, and Prawn are riding at the front of it. The group dropped their sophomore LP, Kingfisher, earlier this year, but had to cut the 12-song tracklist down due to vinyl limitations. On Record Store Day’s Black Friday event on November 28, the band will share the two songs they had to cut.
