Never Shout Never Announce Details For New Album

Earlier today Never Shout Never teamed up with Alternative Press to announce details for a new album, titled Recycled Youth (Volume One). The album itself may be new, but the songs will be familiar to fans. All nine tracks are re-invented versions of various singles the group has had over the years.

According to frontman Christofer Drew, there will be a series of three releases covering songs that are both fan-favorites and favorites of the band members. You can check out the tracklist for this first installment below. The re-imagined version of “On The Brightside” is also available to …

Dance Gavin Dance

Dance Gavin Dance Continue To Impress With “On The Run”

Adding to an already acclaimed catalog of intricate rock goodness, Dance Gavin Dance have reaffirmed their unique presence in the world of alternative music with the release of “On The Run.”

The first song to surface from the band’s forthcoming album, which is scheduled for release this spring through Rise Records, “On The Run” offers a little bit of everything fans have come to expect from Dance Gavin Dance. Things begin rather chaotic, with screams pouring through the speakers alongside a furious flurry of sound. That sound remains for a bit, but eventually the song begins to evolve into something …

Walls Of Jericho

Walls Of Jericho Sign To Napalm Records; Releasing New Album This Year

I don’t know about you, but I am incredibly excited to learn this latest update from the Walls Of Jericho camp.

The Detroit-based metal outfit went on a break, and during that time frontwoman Candace Kucsulain worked on a side project with her husband. It’s been quite a few years since they made their announcement, so it seemed unlikely they were going to come out with anything new. That is all about to change though, as the band has announced that they’ve signed to Napalm Records, and will be releasing an album this year.

Be sure to keep an eye …

José González - Vestiges & Claws

ALBUM STREAM: José González – ‘Vestiges & Claws’

José González is a curious musician. On 2013′s band project Junip, he toiled in metaphysical questions and engaged in the act of musing. On his newest album, this year’s Vestiges & Claws, due out February 17, he’s back at it. But somehow, despite the heavy material, he leaves us floating, relaxed. Thankfully you can hear for yourself a whole week early since it’s streaming in full over at NPR.

On Vestiges & Claws, González is writing with an inner groove. It seems he’s found some answers last time around but still has enough curiosity to keep pushing …

Tallest Man on Earth

The Tallest Man on Earth Announces New Album ‘Dark Bird Is Home’

Kristian Matsson, aka The Tallest Man on Earth, is back and ready to strum until his fingers bleed. The folk revivalist and Dylan reincarnation has announced a brand new album is on the way. The album, titled Dark Bird Is Home, drops May 12 via Dead Oceans. It serves as his follow-up to 2012′s There’s No Leaving Now full-length.

“This is not the end. This is fine. I sing that now, maybe to someone else for comfort in all this turmoil because the sea can be pretty heavy,” Matsson says in a new trailer for the album. It’s …

The Maine Premiere New Single, “English Girls”

As we have previously mentioned, alt-rock outfit The Maine have recently wrapped up the recording process for their newest record entitled American Candy. Due out on March 31, the new record will be serving as the direct follow-up to their 2013 release of Forever Halloween.

Today the Arizona five-piece has shared the first single off the new record. The song, which you can take a listen to below, is entitled “English Girls” and it is definitely one fans will come to love. One could argue that this new single echoes a poppier, more early-era The Maine as …

Kendrick-Lamar-I

Kendrick Lamar Returns To Glory With “The Blacker The Berry”

A day after adding two Grammy awards to his growing collection of accolades, Compton native Kendrick Lamar has shared a new single titled “The Blacker The Berry.”

Going in hard over production from the iconic Boi-1da, Kendrick Lamar uses “The Blacker The Berry” to remind everyone why the good kid from mAAd city has been reigning over hip-hop for the last few years. In a time when everyone seems too afraid or self-obsessed to address the serious issues we as a society are dealing with today, it’s Kendrick who goes straight for the jugular. His flow and raw aggression is …

UTG PREMIERE: Actor Observer – “Steel Yourself” (Video)

Today is a good day, my friends. After years of being one of our favorite bands to promote, Actor Observer have joined forces with UTG to share the exclusive world premiere of their new video.

Oh, you don’t know Actor Observer? That’s not exactly okay, as they are without a doubt one of the most promising young bands to exist in the last decade, but for the sake of moving things along we will go ahead and give you a pass (this time). The band is currently preparing to release their new album, The Longer Now, on March 10. …

Creepers

Deafheaven Side Project Creepers Share “Vanishing” Music Video

Deafheaven side project Creepers are back with a brand new video for “Vanishing” off of their debut LP, Lush, which dropped in October of last year. You can order it here.

Directed by Drew Pearson, the short clip matches bright, faded images of planes and passed-out people with the dark riffs of “Vanishing,” one of their seven new songs from last year’s release. When two of Deafheaven’s members decided to peel off to form a rockier, layered sound that circles dream-like vocals, they never expected it to grow as comfortable and whole as it sounds. As you can …

Dick Diver Melbourne Florida

Dick Diver Share New Single “Tearing the Posters Down”

With the music world falling in love with Twerps and Real Estate’s casually cool riffs, it’s pretty evident college rock is making a return. Indie rock act Dick Diver are no exception to the new rule. The four piece dropped “Waste The Alphabet” last year from their upcoming third full-length, Melbourne, Florida, due out March 10 via Trouble In Mind. With their newest single, “Tearing the Posters Down,” they’re freshening things up and reminding us why jangly guitar is more than just an early-20s staple.

Recorded in an ex-sheep-shearing shed, “Tearing the Posters Down” rolls with an assured, light-hearted …
