Emarosa Debut “People Like Me, We Just Don’t Play” Music Video

Post-hardcore outfit Emarosa recently released their third full-length, Versus, a long-awaited effort featuring the band’s first stab at recording with vocalist Bradley Walden. In support of the album’s release, they have debuted a brand new music video for one of Versus‘ standout cuts, “People Like Me, We Just Don’t Play.” Finding the band performing under a slew of light bulbs in an otherwise dark room, it’s a simple premise, but there’s enough passion on display from the musicians to warrant checking the video out.

Future Hit: Theophilus London Featuring Kanye West – “Can’t Stop”

A track where Kanye raps like the days before Yeezus? Yes please.

Trinidadian-born Brooklyn rapper Theophilus London is set to release his Sophomore album next week, and earlier today an advance stream of the record found its way online. The album was executive produced by Kanye West, but what made us perk up was the fact Yeezus also contributes a new verse to the album on a laid back track titled “Can’t Stop.” We spun the album three or four times before we realized we hadn’t posted it yet, so here we are ready to share the party with …

Circa Survive Release Video For New Single, Launch Pre-orders For ‘Descensus’

It’s been less than two weeks since Circa Survive officially announced their fifth LP, Descensus, which is due out on November 24 through their new label, Sumerian Records.

Following the brief teaser found with the announcement, the band has released a visually stunning and disturbingly surreal new video for the album’s lead single, entitled “Schema,” which we heard a brief snippet of in the album’s initial trailer. Clocking in at nearly five minutes in length, our first taste of Descensus wastes no time introducing us to the aggressive nature in which the album opens, musically reminiscent of labelmates The …

Run The Jewels Share “Blockbuster Night Pt. 2″

This year, Run The Jewels have become official overachievers. The second full-length from El-P and Killer Mike, RTJ2,  comes out today via iTunes, but the duo put it up for free to download on Friday because why not? They got enough money to move forward with Meow the Jewels, their remix of the album using only cat noises. They announced a worldwide art project called Tag The Jewels, a call for 30 street artists to paint their interpretation of the logo on street walls. They’re unstoppable.

To celebrate the album release, they’re sharing the sequel to single …

Marilyn Manson Offers New Single, “Third Day Of A Seven Day Binge,” For Free

We have been hearing rumors and talk of a new Marilyn Manson album being in the works for the majority of 2014, and over the weekend it seems like we took one step closer to holding that record in our hands.

“Third Day Of A Seven Day Binge” is a brand new track from Manson that found its way online early Sunday, October 27. The song is a laid-back rock song that is full of pain and reflection, with Manson’s gravelly voice cutting through the noise as only the former shock rocker can. It feels a bit like the kind …

SINGLE REVIEW: Enter Shikari – “The Last Garrison”

Artist: Enter Shikari
Song: “The Last Garrison
Album: The Mindsweep

By the time Enter Shikari release The Mindsweep in early 2015 nearly three years will have passed since A Flash Flood of Colour arrived in stores. Enter Shikari have released material in the time between these releases, but any fan of the band knows there is a world of difference between the group’s singles and how they approach full-length recordings. The records Enter Shikari create are as much about delivering a cohesive listening experience with a clear message as they are keeping listeners on their toes from track …

A Skylit Drive Lose Two Members; Announce New Album

A Skylit Drive have had a lot going on in the last 24 hours, so let’s start from the beginning.

This past Tuesday, ASD bassist Brian White and drummer Cory LaQuay announced via Instagram, that they were both leaving the group to pursue other endeavors. Though they are not leaving “together” per se, they are leaving for similar reasons. In a nutshell, they are no longer happy doing what they are doing with this particular band. You can read their entire statement below.

According to the band’s Facebook page, this news apparently was not supposed to be made public …

STREAM: Enter Shikari – “The Last Garrison”

Our friends from across the pond, Enter Shikari, just unleashed the new track “The Last Garrison,” the first single off of their upcoming record, The Mindsweep. The track definitely is in a new distinct musical direction, with a heavier focus on the drum and bass and electronic elements. However, this is still Enter Shikari, so the grand scale and heavy hardcore-influenced sections are alive and well.

The thing I love about Enter Shikari is their ability to really push themselves in a wide variety of directions, exploring what it means to be a band. “The Last Garrison” is …

Jessica Pratt Announces New Album ‘On Your Own Love Again’

If you love folk, specifically the gentle sound of classical guitar playing, you likely spent much of 2012 and the following years giving Jessica Pratt‘s self-titled debut a whole lot of play time. Now the California-based singer-songwriter is returning in 2015 with a follow-up, at long last. The album, titled On Your Own Love Again, drops January 27 via Drag City. Pre-orders are ongoing.

Her austere playing and dark, whimsicle wanderings will sound similar to “Night Faces” and “Dreams” off her last release, likely because they were recorded at home over the past two years. According to the press …
