“Alabama on the boombox, Baby. Bout to get a little boondocks crazy…”

Country megastars Florida Georgia Line have released the title track from their highly-anticipated new album in advance of the record’s October 14 release.

Anything Goes” was originally teased at the beginning of September when videos of Florida Georgia Line performing the song in concert began to appear online. The group responded to the videos by sharing a quick snippet of the song, which has since become one of the most read posts of the month on UTG. Today, just a week after releasing the promotional track …

UTG PREMIERE: Slim Charles – “The Quilted Star Apple Crumble”

Brooklyn based indie rock outfit Slim Charles plan to release their forthcoming full-length, Small Improvements in Life and in Light, on September 30, so UTG has teamed up with the band to premiere a brand new single before the record drops.

Entitled “The Quilted Star Apple Crumble,” Slim Charles describe the cut as “an eccentric tune with a progressive song structure and heavy rock vibes.” Their self-prescribed description is rather on point as funky bass lines lead a constantly evolving instrumental section alongside vocals with a mostly clean nature that fluctuate into inspired hard rock vocals at certain peaks. …

Manchester Orchestra Release ‘HOPE’ Digitally, Announce Coinciding Tour

Manchester Orchestra are overachievers. As if releasing one fantastic album in 2014 and touring it extensively wasn’t enough, the Atlanta-based rockers have decided to release an alternate version of COPE, entitled HOPE, with completely different cuts of all 11 tracks found on their much-praised fourth LP.

With rumors and speculation regarding details swirling for some time now, all of that can be put to rest. HOPE has been released digitally today (surprise!) via Loma Vista, with a vinyl pressing slated for a November 18 release.

As the perfect counterpart to the band’s heaviest release to date, HOPE offers …

Grimes Scraps New Album Because Fans Don’t Like “Go”

Grimes is all over the internet, and the internet is all over Grimes. The 26-year-old Canadian singer-songwriter is known to speak freely with fans online, speak up against drugs, and put down her foot in discussions regarding sexism. There’s a thin wall between her and her audience, but now those very fans are keeping themselves from getting a new record from the artist.

As SPIN points out, the negative responses to her new single “Go,” which was originally created for and rejected by Rihanna, has led to Grimes scrapping the material that would go on to …

Revealed to fans on Monday, Four will be the fourth studio album from One Direction in four years. The record will not hit stores until an unspecified date in November, but the group decided to give fans an early taste of the record by sharing a new song titled “Fireproof” that you can now …

ODESZA In Return

It’s been at the front of our minds all summer long, and finally it’s here: ODESZA‘s new album, In Return. The Counter Records release drops next week, but the duo have uploaded the record to Soundcloud for you to stream until then.

We’ve heard “Memories That You Call” (feat. Monsoonsiren), but it’s really single “Say My Name” (feat. Zyra) that’s given them their summer success. After being available for one week, the album has already rocketed to #1 on Billboard’s Electronic Chart, #1 on iTunes Electronic Chart, and #20 on iTunes Overall Album Chart. It’s …

Damien Rice My Favourite Faded Fantasy

Damien Rice Streams “My Favourite Faded Fantasy”

Just a day after announcing plans to release his first studio album in eight years, Damien Rice is streaming a new single titled “My Favourite Faded Fantasy.”

Clocking in at just over six minutes in length, “My Favourite Faded Fantasy” ushers fans back into the beautiful and often heartbreaking world of Damien Rice with poise and grace. It’s a gorgeously constructed ode to everything that could develop between two star-crossed lovers, with an ever-so-slight melancholy undertone that brings to mind Rice’s earlier works. The track premiered on BBC Radio late last night, but you can stream the song, in full, …
