MUSIC VIDEO: MXPX – “Aces Up”

Pop punk pioneers MXPX have never, and will never, give up. Their career has had more ups and downs than the latest season of True Blood, but they always come out on top in the end. Today, the trio from Washington unleashed their official music video for the single “Aces Up.” You can view the clip, which features a plethora of performance shots both on stage and off, after the jump.

“Aces Up” is taken from the album Plans Within Plans, which hit stores earlier this year.

MXPX All Stars Announce US Tour W/ Pennywise, Street Dogs, Unwritten Law, and FLF

The MXPX All Stars have decided to try their hand at (finally) touring the US this fall, with support from PennywiseStreet Dogs, Unwritten Law, and FLF, with dates running from late-October to early-November.

MxPx 20th Anniversary Shows

The punks in magnified plaid have announced four West Coast shows to celebrate twenty years of music madness.

Announced this week, punk rockers MxPx are planning four West Coast performances throughout the Summer to commemorate having spent two decade as a band. Mike Herrera (MxPx) Performs New Song “Aces Up” Acoustic

Mike Herrera (MxPx,Tumbledown) spent some time with Dying Scene Sessions to perform a brand new MxPx song called “Aces Up.”

This performance was shot in Los Angeles, California at The Mint so please sit back and enjoy after the jump. The song comes off of MxPx’s forthcoming release, Plans Within Plans, which drops on April 3.

Tumbledown have released their official music video for “Great Big World.”

Comprised mainly of performance footage and behind-the-scene shots, the video for “Great Big World” brings fans into the energetic world of Tumbledown, but it’s the catchiness of the song that will keep you around. Check out the clip for “Great Big World” after the jump.

MxPx Details Ninth Studio Album ‘Plans Within Plans’

Pop-punk trio MxPx have announced that they will be releasing their ninth studio album, Plans Within Plans, on April 3 via MRI/Rock City Recording Company. This effort will follow-up 2008′s Secret Weapon.

MxPx Announce “Plans Within Plans”

Washington punk trio MxPx have announced the title for their forthcoming LP will be Plans Within Plans.

MxPx announced Plans Within Plans on their official website. In the announcement, Frontman/bassist Mike Herrera offered the following explanation for the title:

“I struggled with this album title for a long time. I had been recording this album between tours and booking tours, studio sessions, and trying to live somewhat of a normal life. Life got in the way of that. Plans Within Plans was the only way i could describe all the mayhem that was going on behind the scenes

Tumbledown Announce South American Tour

Tumbledown (w/ Mike Herrera of MxPx) have announced that the group will be heading out for a tour in South America this coming October. This tour is in direct support of their most recent effort Empty Bottle.

MXPX working on 9th studio album

MXPX has been extremely hard at work on their upcoming 9th studio album. This yet-to-be-named album will be the follow-up to the group’s 2007 release Secret Weapon (Tooth & Nail Records). Their album is being self-produced by Mike Herrera at his Monkey Trench Studios in Bremerton, WA. When asked about the recording process, Mike gave us a small taste of what is to come from MXPX.

I’ve put an immense amount of thought into the bass lines this time around. I’ve expanded the fills and changed them up here and there, which has been fun.
