As we patiently await the new album, Afraid of Heights by Wavves, lead singer Nathan Williams and the gang released their music video for the track, “Demon To Lean On.”  The video features a young boy who wakes up in a junk yard after falling asleep in a towed car. Upon his arrival, the lost boy is captured by a group of young misfits dressed in warrior gear, similar to what you’d find in the classic movie, Hook.

Indie poppers Freelance Whales are streaming a brand new track entitled, “Dig Into Waves.” The song is the sixth from their forthcoming sophomore effort, Diluvia, which is set to drop October 9 via Mom+Pop/Frenchkiss. Diluvia is the follow-up to Freelance Whales’ well received 2009 debut, Weathervanes.

This new song shows that the band has managed to continue with their intricate musicianship and playfully charming sounds, bringing a fresh vibe to the folk-pop scene. You can stream the song via Soundcloud after the jump. Be careful, it’s extremely catchy!

Sleigh Bells Play UK/Ireland

Mom+Pop Records duo Sleigh Bells have revealed they will be going out on a very short UK/Ireland tour starting in late February. The four-date run can be viewed below so be sure to let us know if you plan on heading out to a show.
