UTG PHOTOS: Miniature Tigers (7/27/12)

Under The Gun’s photographer Tori Thomas attended the Miniature Tigers show at Musica in Akron on July 27.

I’ve seen Miniature Tigers once before, on the fun. tour. This show was totally different, it was more intimate and unique. During a lot of the songs, Charlie Brand, lead singer, would interact with the audience. UTG PHOTOS: Fun. & Miniature Tigers (4/18/12)

Under The Gun sent photographer Tori Thomas to photograph the fun. and Miniature Tigers show in Grand Rapids on April 18th.

I arrived at The Intersection in Grand Rapids, MI expecting a great show, and that’s exactly what I got. The show started off with Miniature Tigers pumping up the crowd; they did a great job at that. I’ve been a fan of Miniature Tigers for quite some time and this was my first time seeing them perform live; it was a real treat. They played some of there old songs and some new songs from their recent release, Mia

Artist: Miniature Tigers
Album: Mia Pharoh
Genre: Indie/Rock/Pop

You had just released Tell It to the Volcano and everything in the world of indie-rock seemed hopeful, upbeat even. You guys graced the stage with ugly sweaters and brilliant wit. Your nerdy but charming approach to songwriting captured my attention, sending me on a spree …

You Need To Know: Miniature Tigers

miniaturetigersBeing an up and coming website can have its drawbacks. The worst of which being not working with every band you dream of working with [at least not right away].  So, even though I have no real news to post,  we need to discuss Miniature Tigers. After being turned on to them by my close friend Crystal Ciurla, I’ve been unable to turn them off. Check out their Myspace or, if you’re feeling lazy, just watch their latest video below. Seriously, these guys are going places.
