Climates Stream New Album, Speak On Wes Thompson’s Departure

Climates, the up-and-coming UK metal act, have posted a full stream of their new album Body Clocks over at Alt Press. You can listen to it there, or stream it below via YouTube.

The group has also released a statement regarding the recent departure of vocalist Wes Thompson. While the band wishes the former vocalist the best, it’s clear that tension had been boiling for a while regarding Thompson’s vocal ability and disposition:

The truth of the matter is, we as a band have become increasingly unhappy with Wes’ contribution to Climates, not only as a vocalist and frontman

METALHEADS: You’re Doing Today Wrong If You Aren’t Streaming Machine Head’s New Album ‘Bloodstone & Diamonds’

Calling all Head Cases (or whatever Robb Flynn likes to call Machine Head‘s fans these days)! It has been three long years since Machine Head released their last studio record Unto the Locust, but the time has come and you can now stream the metal veterans’ new album, Bloodstone & Diamonds, in its entirety.

Longtime fans of the band had to wonder how they would fare after last year’s departure of founding member Adam Duce, whose backing vocals and thundering bass lines were a signature of the band’s sound. But at first listen, it sounds like they’ve …

Wayne Static Interview

Remembering Wayne Static: 10 Songs Everyone Should Know

The news of Wayne Static’s passing has shocked rock fans around the world, including every single member of the Under The Gun team. Many of us grew up listening to Static’s music, and some even cite Wisconsin Death Trip as one of the main reasons they began to explore the world of metal. You didn’t have to be a fan of industrial music to enjoy the art Wayne and his bandmates created, and truth be told, you did not even have to be that into rock. As long as you were able to listen to something with an open mind …

he is legend

He Is Legend’s ‘I Am Hollywood’ Turns 10 Years Old

On August 5, 2005, I was sitting in a chair in a stranger’s apartment in Bakersfield, CA, 6 hours from my own home. The apartment belonged to the members of a local punk band called Gramercy Riff; a band I didn’t know existed before that night. Sitting directly across from me was one of my best friends. To my right, in a recliner, was Craig Owens of Chiodos. The other five members of his band were milling around the apartment, socializing with other people whom I had never met before. Just hours before, Chiodos had performed in the dingy, underground …

We love them, as we know many of you do, and after seeing our social feeds flooded with designs from countless bands we decided to compile …

Artist: Fit For A King
Album: Slave To Nothing
Genre: Metalcore
Label: Solid State Records

If any band had the year of their lives in 2013, the honor would most likely go to Texan metalcore outfit, Fit For A King. After laying claim to the most successful debut in Solid State Records history via the sonic yin and yang of Creation/Destruction, the group proceeded to hop on tour after tour while being granted the ability to re-record their independently released full-length of yesteryear, Descendants. Rather than dedicate 2014 to more touring in support of both releases, though, …
