Mosh Your Life Away With A New Song From iwrestledabearonce

With just over a month to go until the release of their fourth studio album, iwrestledabearonce have begun streaming a new song that fans are sure to love.

“Wade In The Water” found its way online early Tuesday afternoon, May 5. The track is the second song off Hail Mary to debut in advance of the album’s June release, following the premiere of “Erase It All” back in the middle of April. This song is incredibly heavy, featuring the impressive guitar work that has become part of the band’s signature sound, as well as undeniably dark tones that separates this …

puppy

Puppy Share “The Great Beyond”

Puppy is a band that I am closely watching. After releasing their awesome video for “Forever,” the band has released “The Great Beyond,” a place exactly where the track comes from.

Blending indie rock, shoegaze, ’80s hair metal, rock, insane riffage, and more, “The Great Beyond” is another reason (along with “Forever”) to be excited about this band. With little information scattered online, the London-based (I think) rock band are letting themselves currently sit in mystery.

More importantly, the opening riff to “The Great Beyond” will knock your socks off. Followed by awesome melodies and harmonies, the track …

torche

Torche Stream New Record, ‘Restarter’

One of the first metal albums of the year that we’re really excited for comes out next week, and that is the new full-length from Torche, entitled Restarter. It will be the follow-up to their 2012 effort, Harmonicraft.

Conveniently named, the album takes a step back to the days of the self-titled album and In Return EP, and gives us the heaviest/funkiest album to date. Sure, it’s still that stoner-metal that we’ve come to expect, but the lows are lower and the riffs are sludgier than they were before. It’s like driving through mud.

Well, the band …

dead end indiana metal

UTG PREMIERE: Dead End — “Ruined”

Hailing from northwest Indiana, hardcore trio Dead End pull out all the stops with the band’s newest track, “Ruined.” Heavy and abrasive, it’s everything a lover of down-tempo’d and aggressive music wants out of a brutally vigorous hardcore song. The track comes straight off of the band’s brand new, self-titled EP, which is due out later this spring.

“When it came to writing ‘Ruined,’ along with the rest of our upcoming EP, we realized that we are in a position where we have an opportunity to impact people’s lives with our music as well as the way we conduct ourselves …

The band linked up with Metal Hammer to stream the other portion, Juggernaut: Omega, in full before next week’s release. The double album is slated for release on January 27 via Sumerian Records and will be the followup to 2012′s Periphery II: This Time It’s Personal.

all-that-remains

All That Remains Share New Track, “This Probably Won’t End Well”

Back in July, it was reported that All That Remains were entering the studio to record a new album, the follow-up to A War You Cannot Win which was released in 2012.

Don’t fear, metal fans, for the veteran quintet are back to raise hell in their new album, titled The Order of Things, which has a release date of February 24 via Razor & Tie Records. With the announcement of the anticipated album, the band has also shared a new track called “This Probably Won’t End Well,” which premiered yesterday on Loudwire. The track itself is rid …

chains

REVIEW: Chains – ‘The Sorrow, The Sadness’ EP

Artist: Chains
Album: The Sorrow, The Sadness EP
Label: Calaveras Records
Genre: Metal, Hardcore

Let’s be honest: you miss Set Your Goals. I miss the band as well, for the sole fact that they are the pop-punk outfit that gave the genre an aggressive edge. This Will Be The Death Of Us is one of my favorite anthem-riddled, pop-punk releases, for it’s the prime example of the passionate personality and delivery inherent to the genre. However, following 2011′s Burning At Both Ends, the band went into a quiet state, seemingly without any intent of letting the music world …

Periphery

Periphery Premiere Title Track, “Alpha”

Periphery keep on releasing singles to further promote their highly anticipated dual album Juggernaut: Alpha and Juggernaut: Omega, with singles “The Scourge,” “The Bad Thing,” and “Graveless” having surfaced thus far.

The band has now shared the title track off Juggernaut: Alpha for more of your listening pleasure. The progressive sextet never cease to amaze with their musical capabilities and they have unsurprisingly nailed it on this effort as well. You can check the stream the song below after the jump.…

If you asked Santa for some burly breakdowns, he most definitely read your list.

Wings Denied Announce Co-headlining Tour With Cryptodira

Hey, prog-metal heads: Washington D.C. based prog-metal band Wings Denied just announced a co-headlining tour in January with New York’s Cryptodira. The bands will be making 13 stops, primarily on the East Coast, ending back in Wings Denied’s hometown of DC.

Wings Denied released their debut full-length, Mirrors for a Prince, this past May, and if an intricate mix of djent and metalcore sounds right up your alley, you should check out their album after the break, which I graciously embedded for you to stream. Despite Mirrors for a Prince being their first full-length, the record feels very …

torche

Torche Announce New Album, European Tour and U.S. Dates With Municipal Waste

Sludge-Pop monsters Torche have revealed the title and release date for their new album, along with a slew of stateside and European tour dates. The band has titled their fourth LP Restarter, which I suppose is appropriate given it’s their first release for Relapse Records. It hits stores on February 24, while pre-orders should be available shortly.

On top of the band’s previously announced tour supporting Clutch, Torche also announced a January run of dates with Municipal Waste and a lengthy European tour for May. Click through for all of the dates and a short album teaser featuring 30 …

System Of A Down 2013

System Of A Down To Play Armenian Genocide Tribute Shows in Europe

Years ago, the announcement of a System Of A Down reunion launched excitement and rumors of new music from the Armenian metal band. Unfortunately, fans would later receive confirmation that a new album was in fact not in the works.

Despite this, listeners around the world have clung tight to the band’s announcements, hoping that something great would still come from the reformation of the group. Today, some of those fans are going to feel quite lucky.

In honor of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, System Of A Down have booked several European dates in 2015 including their …
