Fifteen years ago today (December 18), the world grew a bit dimmer. Chris Farley, acclaimed comedian and actor, was found dead in his apartment on this date back in 1997. Some of you may remember Farley for his work in Tommy Boy or Black Sheep, while others will recall his many roles on Saturday Night Live, but regardless – we all share in the memory of how his comedic efforts made our lives a bit better.

The death of Suicide Silence frontman Mitch Lucker is still fresh on our minds, but it’s the future of his Daughter Kenadee that is the center of this post.

Moments after news began to spread about Lucker’s death last Thursday, fans and publications around the world began talking about how the community as a whole could support the singer’s young daughter, Kenadee Lucker. Today marks the thirty-second anniversary of Ian Curtis’ death. We thought about putting together a Music History feature, but we have run a few recently and felt the legacy of Curtis should not be given such cookie cutter treatment. Caliban have released the latest music video for their song “Memorial” and can be viewed right here on UTG. This creepy video shows the band’s first material off of the upcoming effort, I Am Nemesis, via Century Media Records. Pick this album up on February 28, 2012.

The video shows a haunting story-line relating images of a child and some sort of religious cult, which I’m having trouble deciphering. Definitely one to avoid for youngsters.
