Skate And Surf Festival Changes Venues; Adds Mayday Parade To The Lineup

Skate And Surf Festival will be moving from Freehold, NJ to Jackson, NJ at Six Flags Great Adventure on May 18 and 19 due to overwhelming demand.

The move of venues was announced earlier this morning via press release, which also announced the addition of Floridian pop rockers Mayday Parade to the lineup. The change is said to be due to increased demand for tickets over previous, and with the likes of Fall Out Boy and Macklemore headlining it’s easy to understand why. You can read a statement from festival organizer John D. detailing the decision below:

Members Of Mayday Parade & All Time Low Visit Boston Victim In Hospital

It’s acts of kindness like this that make fans love and appreciate their favorite bands even more. An eighteen year old senior was supposed to go to this year’s ‘Spring Fever’ tour. Instead of going to the show though she was at the hospital recovering from the bombings at the Boston Marathon.

Some Members of Mayday Parade and All Time Low decided to go visit her in the hospital since she couldn’t see them perform at Tsongas Arena. This story was covered by the Boston Herald, you can read a snippet of the article below and then check out the …

All Time Low performed “Damned If I Do Ya” acoustic on April 20 for Record Store Day.

The video, shot at Eides Record Store in Pittsburgh, is a bit shaky, but you can still get the gist of the performance.

As of now, the band is currently on the Spring Fever Tour with Pierce The Veil, Mayday Parade and You Me At Six.

Check out the rest of the band’s tour dates at FearlessRecords.com, and watch “Damned If I Do Ya” acoustic below.

Mayday Parade To Release Photobook, Ask For Fan Photos

Well that’s not something a band announces everyday! Mayday Parade have unveiled a short video letting fans know they are going to release the “very first” Mayday Parade photobook which will document the history of the band from their inception to the present. They also want to include fans in the process, and have asked that anyone who’s taken pictures of them (Mayday Parade) to go ahead and send those pictures along to maydayparadebook@gmail.com to potentially be added to the photobook. Watch the video the band made by taking a look below the jump.

The band is currently out on …

All Time Low, Pierce The Veil, Mayday Parade and You Me At Six Announce Tour Dates

Looks like the rumors we heard earlier we true: All Time Low, Pierce The Veil, Mayday Parade and You Me At Six are going on tour for what is probably the biggest tour of the year. Any of these bands could headline in their own right, and together this is going to be a crazy show.

Ticketfly is usually right with its leaks, as its leaks are unintentional. The full announcement is now out and official though; the dates are in April and May and span both sides of America. Tickets go on sale tomorrow, January 8, at …

Looks Like All Time Low, Mayday Parade, Pierce the Veil, and You Me At Six are going on tour

Pierce The Veil and You Met At Six have been teasing a “big” Monday announcement, but it seems the internet decided to break the news a little early.

Reports began hitting the UTG inbox this morning that All Time Low, Mayday Parade, Pierce The Veil, and You Me At Six will be touring the United States this Spring. We thought about running a “rumor” post, but the so-called proof was little more than a cropped screenshot of tour dates without any true source. Then, just under an hour ago, TicketFly confirmed the tour to the world. You can see a …

WATCH: Mayday Parade – “When You See My Friends”

Mayday Parade released a music video today for their song “When You See My Friends” off of their self-titled 2011 release.

The video is composed of a series of black and white live shots from their tour with The Maine this past fall. Although it could have probably been edited better, the end of the video suddenly makes the switch from the song’s recording to the band actually performing live, enabling viewers to hear Mayday Parade fans screaming. All in all, however, the video is entertaining and sure to drive Mayday Parade fans crazy. Watch the video below.

Close The Distance was released back in September through Fearless Records. Pick up the album on iTunes here. Check out the video for “Go To Hell” at MTVU

UTG PHOTOS: Mayday Parade & The Maine (10/19/12)

Under The Gun photographer Tori Thomas grabbed some photos at the first night of the Mayday Parade & The Maine college tour with special guests The Postelles. The Tour kicked off at Grand Valley State in Allendale, MI on October 19.

I traveled to Grand Valley State expecting a great performance from Mayday Parade and The Maine, and from what I can tell, that’s what I got. The first band to perform was The Postelles. I’ve never heard of them, but I liked what I heard and would definitely see them live again. Next up was The Maine, …

STREAM: Mayday Parade Ft Vic Fuentes (Pierce The Veil) – “Somebody That I Used To Know” (Cover)

After a weekend of teasers and competition, Mayday Parade have unveiled their cover of Gotye’s inescapable hit, “Somebody That I Used To Know.” The cover is taken from Fearless Records’ upcoming Punk Goes Pop 5 compilation and features guest vocals from Pierce The Veil’s Vic Fuentes. You can stream the song after the jump.

I’m sure we will eventually review the entire PGP5 release, but I’ll say right now that the two songs that have surfaced thus far have done nothing for me. Maybe the emptiness of top40 has become so great that not even hardworking artists can sell it …
