Maroon 5 Crash Multiple Weddings For “Sugar” Music Video

What would you do if Adam Levine and his band crashed your wedding to perform for a new music video? Scream in ecstasy like the guests who went through just that, I suppose. In the most pleasant of surprises, alt-rock outfit Maroon 5 took a trip around Los Angeles and stopped at every wedding they could find around the area to film a music video for their song “Sugar,” which is taken off of the band’s most recent album, V. The idea was taken from Wedding Crashers, and the music video was appropriately created with the film’s director, …

Maroon 5 Release “Animals” Remix Featuring J. Cole

Maroon 5 are riding high on a wave of critical acclaim for their latest album, V, and earlier today they returned to music headlines everywhere with the release of the official remix for “Animals.”

If you have spent any time within earshot of a top 40 radio station within the last month you have no doubt heard “Animals” a time or twelve. It’s the kind of feel good pop track that has helped Maroon 5 make millions over the last decade, with just enough sexuality to make knees weak without upsetting conservatives. The remix features an appearance from J. …

Maroon 5 V Album Review

REVIEW: Maroon 5 – ‘V’

Artist: Maroon 5
Album: V
Genre: Pop Rock
Label: Interscope Records

Maroon make a strong argument for continued pop radio domination with V, but the shtick is beginning to wear thin.

Unless you’re a music critic with a job that involves working through most major album releases there are only a handful of reasons to ever pick up a Maroon 5 album, and even fewer reasons why you should consider buying such a thing. In the years since Songs About Jane hit, the Adam Levine-lead group have become top 40 mainstays, and as such their albums often serve as …

Maroon 5 2012

Maroon 5 Reveal New Album’s Track List & Cover Art

Three time Grammy winning pop-rock band Maroon 5 have signed over to Interscope Records earlier this year and have been set to release their fifth studio album, V, in early September.

Maroon 5 are one of the few solid acts nowadays who very capably maintain and gain a larger fan base continuously despite the differences in sound and appeal of their last couple records. Notably a very pop-infused collection, the band shares that V will not be as poppy as Overexposed was, indicating a more personal touch from Adam Levine and the rest of the band, both lyrically and …

V will be Maroon 5′s first album with Interscope Records, and it features production work from big names like Max Martin and Benny Blanco, the latter of whom produced the band’s 2011 hit, “Moves Like Jagger.” The album also marks Maroon …

Slick Rubin Jonah Hill

WATCH: Maroon 5 and Jonah Hill Making “HJ Train”

In 2007, Jonah Hill broke out into the comedy world via films such as Superbad and Knocked Up. These titles would boost Hill into stardom and later allow him to become a “serious actor.”

Before any of that happened, however, Hill made “HJ Train” a song about hand jobs.

In a short clip featuring the band Maroon 5 before the release of their second record, It Won’t Be Soon Before Long, Hill dons a turban and the moniker “Slick Rubin.” Slick is a big-shot producer hired by the label to help the band write their next hit. The hitch …

Maroon 5 Get Painted For “Love Somebody” Video

Maroon 5′s signature brand of dance-laden pop rock is not exactly rocket science. The band found a sound that worked well early in their career and have stuck with it. There is nothing inherently wrong with that, but sometimes it does make them a bit predictable. Their latest video, however, is another story altogether.

When it was premiered on The Voice earlier this week, “Love Somebody” struck me as just another Maroon 5 jam about a topic all their songs seem to be about (l-o-v-e). It was an acceptable entry into the current pop charts, but nothing out of the …
