Maroon 5 Reveal New Album’s Track List & Cover Art

Three time Grammy winning pop-rock band Maroon 5 have signed over to Interscope Records earlier this year and have been set to release their fifth studio album, V, in early September.

Maroon 5 are one of the few solid acts nowadays who very capably maintain and gain a larger fan base continuously despite the differences in sound and appeal of their last couple records. Notably a very pop-infused collection, the band shares that V will not be as poppy as Overexposed was, indicating a more personal touch from Adam Levine and the rest of the band, both lyrically and …

Maroon 5 To Release ‘V’ On September 2

Maroon 5 have been producing massive pop rock hits for over a decade, and this year will likely see another chart topping tune from Adam Levine and company. The Los Angeles, California band announced today that they will release their fifth album, simply titled V, on September 2, with a single due out in the next couple months.

V will be Maroon 5′s first album with Interscope Records, and it features production work from big names like Max Martin and Benny Blanco, the latter of whom produced the band’s 2011 hit, “Moves Like Jagger.” The album also marks Maroon …

Slick Rubin Jonah Hill

WATCH: Maroon 5 and Jonah Hill Making “HJ Train”

In 2007, Jonah Hill broke out into the comedy world via films such as Superbad and Knocked Up. These titles would boost Hill into stardom and later allow him to become a “serious actor.”

Before any of that happened, however, Hill made “HJ Train” a song about hand jobs.

In a short clip featuring the band Maroon 5 before the release of their second record, It Won’t Be Soon Before Long, Hill dons a turban and the moniker “Slick Rubin.” Slick is a big-shot producer hired by the label to help the band write their next hit. The hitch …

Maroon 5 Get Painted For “Love Somebody” Video

Maroon 5′s signature brand of dance-laden pop rock is not exactly rocket science. The band found a sound that worked well early in their career and have stuck with it. There is nothing inherently wrong with that, but sometimes it does make them a bit predictable. Their latest video, however, is another story altogether.

When it was premiered on The Voice earlier this week, “Love Somebody” struck me as just another Maroon 5 jam about a topic all their songs seem to be about (l-o-v-e). It was an acceptable entry into the current pop charts, but nothing out of the …

MUSIC VIDEO/SHORT: The Lonely Island Ft Adam Levine and Kendrick Lamar – “YOLO”

More than a year has passed since Drake and the Young Money crew brought the phrase “YOLO” to the tongues and inebriated texts of people around the world. For better or worse, it seems everyone has something to appreciate about the idea “you only live once,” even if it’s nothing more than the courage to do something that could end said life much faster than the average person. That idea has almost nothing to do with this post, but it’s something to think about nonetheless.

Never ones to let a trending topic pass without making light of it as only …

Texas rockers Artist Vs Poet decided to cover Maroon 5′s radio hit “One More Night” and can be heard by clicking through the jump.

Since singer Joe Kirkland is on Adam Levine’s team for NBC’s show The Voice it seemed only right that the group covered one of their songs. Check out the cover of “One More Night” and be sure to watch an interview with Kirkland about the experience of being on television and much more.

We wish Kirkland the best of luck in this great opportunity.…

REVIEW: Maroon 5 – Overexposed

Artist: Maroon 5
Album: Overexposed
Genre: Pop/rock
Label: A&M/Octone

Something of a rushed job in the wake of their “Moves Like Jagger” success last year, Overexposed is an awkward and lumbering album, yet one that musters some real gems before it gives out. It’s underwritten and bland, marked by a persistent insecurity as to how it wants to sound. Maroon 5 aren’t exactly the bearers of profound, thought-provoking musicality but their penchant for crafting a sleek pop tune has gone somewhat awry here. The title is fitting, as the tinkering and differing approaches taken to these tracks indicates a catch-all …

MUSIC VIDEO: Maroon 5 – One More Night

Maroon 5 have released their official music video for their newest single “One More Night.” The song comes off the band’s new album Overexposed, which hit stores today (June 26) through A&M/Octone Records.

In the video, Adam Levine (frontman of Maroon 5, for those who don’t know) is a boxer with a family at home. You will see various scenes in the video, the home environment, practice, and the match. I don’t want to give away the video, so you should watch it for yourself after the jump. Tell UTG what you think about the video in a comment! …
