John Williams Tentatively Set to Score ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’

From the mouth of J.J. Abrams himself, legendary composer John Williams is slated to score the latest installment in the Star Wars series. While it’s not officially locked down, J.J. Abrams has gone on record at a Star Trek: Into Darkness press conference saying,

Again, for Star Wars, it’s very early days, but I believe that, going forward, John Williams will be doing that film, because he was there long before I was.

In addition to the rest of the Star Wars films, John Williams has scored some of your favorites such as the Indiana Jones series, Lincoln, …

Steven Spielberg Announces ‘Obama’

Every year the White House Correspondents’ Association (WHCA) hosts a dinner on the last Saturday in April at the Washington Hilton. The event, which is usually attended by the President and Vice President, celebrates the prior year and offers the journalists who spend all their time covering the White House a chance to relax and enjoy a night out. Last night was no different, and this morning, clips from some of the more memorable moments have begun making their way online.

At one point last night, director Steven Spielberg unveiled a video announcement outlining plans for his next film. It …

THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN-PART 2

BOX OFFICE RESULTS: November 23-25

This holiday I was thankful I did not have to sit through the number one movie for the weekend: Twilight 9: Twiharder. It is no surprise that the last installment of the vampires who sparkle saga topped the charts, but thankfully other movies made lots of money as well. All the way down to the number seven slot in the weekend numbers (which was taken by Red Dawn) made at least 10 million, which is great news for film. You can see the full top ten chart and how much the movies made after the jump.

TRAILER: Lincoln

There are days when I watch tons of trailers, all of which seem relatively uninteresting. I see rehash after rehash, remake after remake, and just plain crap. Steven Spielberg’s trailer for his newest movie Lincoln has chills going down my spine.

The movie tells the story of Abraham Lincoln’s presidency, and I could not think of a better man to play him than Daniel Day-Lewis. He fits the role perfectly, and I can already hear “and the Oscar goes to…” ringing in my head. Not only is Daniel Day-Lewis looking amazing in it, you can bet that he will be …
