M.I.A Leaving Roc Nation

In a tweet wishing her followers a happy new year, M.I.A also included another piece of information: she’s leaving Roc Nation, the entertainment company founded by Jay Z.

The English rapper has been signed to Roc Nation since May of 2012. Earlier this year, the company pulled a trailer for an M.I.A documentary from YouTube. M.I.A didn’t respond well (she claimed she’d been “blacklisted”), which may have spurred her decision to leave Roc Nation.

Kyle Even Leaves Breathe Carolina, Band Releasing New Album in 2014

Breathe Carolina announced this afternoon that founding member Kyle Even has decided to part ways with the group. According to a video update, Even recently celebrated the birth of his first child and is leaving BC to focus on his family.

Apparitions Stream “Leaving” Featuring Artist Jed Thomas

Apparitions recently released their album Kiss Me Sleeping, which we exclusively streamed for free not so long ago. They are releasing videos for all the songs, featuring illustrations by artist Jed Thomas.

Freddie Gibbs Confirms Leaving CTE

It’s been a little over one year since rapper Freddie Gibbs signed on with Young Jeezy’s label CTE (Corporate Thugs Entertainment) but now he has decided to leave the team after much deliberation. He sat down with Power 105′s Breakfast Club and discussed the finer point of what led him to the decision of leaving and can be heard through the jump.
