Watch Miley Cyrus & Against Me! Perform “True Trans Soul Rebel”

If 2014 was the year Miley Cyrus‘ outrageous antics reached maximum raunchiness, 2015 is proving to be the year she reminds the world she is also an incredibly kind (and talented) soul.

Cyrus recently started the Happy Hippie Foundation, an organization to benefit homeless and LGBTQ kids. To raise awareness for this initiative, Cyrus recently put on an intimate backyard performance with special guests like Joan Jett and Against Me! The videos of that event began making their way online last week, and today their marketing efforts continue with an exciting acoustic rendition of “True Trans Soul Rebel.” …

Let’s talk about True Trans, a two-song digital EP available for free (for a …

Against Me! Premiere “Transgender Dysphoria Blues”

Just weeks after announcing his intention to transition from Tom Gabel to Laura Jean Grace in Rolling Stone, Against Me!’s frontman has unveiled the title track (and incredibly autobiographical) single for the band’s next album.

While no studio audio has surfaced, talk of Against Me! performing a new song on the road have been swirling since the band returned to the road post Gabel’s announcement. Today is the first day high quality video came by the UTG inbox, so today is the day we’ve chosen to post about it. The song is simple, with Gabel performing solo and acoustic …
