In Fear And Faith Tell Fans This Weekend’s Performance Was Their Last

Shortly after confirming that they would be writing new music In Fear And Faith also dampened fans’ newly ignited excitement by announcing at their show with Saosin that said performance would be their very last. Though we were unable to find a live video of the band making the announcement, there were a handful of tweets by attendees at the show who all confirm this announcement was made. That includes a tweet by our good friend Jack Appleby. You can read them by checking below the break.

The band’s Facebook page has not been updated to say either way, but …

Legendary New Jersey Venue Maxwell’s To Close In July

A true rock institution is set to close at the end of July, and the decision is not what anyone had planned.

According to a new article on NJ.Com, the lease to Maxwell’s will be completed at the end of July. Todd Abramson, the club’s booking agent and co-owner, explained the tough decision to close by explaining the terms offered to the club for lease renewal would have put the business in a tough place.

“We were offered a renewal with rates that weren’t necessarily onerous,” says Abramson, “But after much thought, given the changing nature of Hoboken and …

WATCH: Underoath Perform “Reinventing Your Exit” With Aaron Gillespie At Their Farewell Show

The world said farewell to Underoath last night, but not before the band revealed a few last minute surprises.

In the midst of their final performance ever, Underoath stopped the music momentarily to welcome former drummer Aaron Gillespie onto the stage. Gillespsie left the band a few years back, but was one of the early members that helped the band develop their signature sound. The appearance was followed with both Aaron and current drummer Daniel Davison working together for a track, then Davison left the stage and allowed Gillespie to take the spotlight for one last rendition of the fan …

WATCH: Jack’s Mannequin Perform “La La Lie” To Close Their Final Show

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’re probably well aware that pop rock favorite Andrew McMahon’s side project turned full time musical force, Jack’s Mannequin, recently came to a close with a series of performances in California. I know some of you made the trek to out West to share in the occasion, but the majority of us were left to cry ourselves to sleep while listening to Glass Passenger b-sides for the hundredth time. So, in hopes of bringing the final farewell to everyone, we came across a clip of the final song from the final performance and …

Refused Announce Last Gig Ever.

When punk band Refused first got back together, no one could have expected the reunion would last. Other than the fact that after their demise they made a documentary on the turmoil that made them break up with the appropriate name of Refused Are Fucking Dead, the band’s whole belief was strongly anti-capitalism – so the whole idea of getting back for money didn’t seem to apply the way it does for the rest of reunited groups (At The Drive In, I’m looking at you).

We’ve known for sometime that this year would be it, to the …

Victory Records’ Carnifex have announced that they will be going on hiatus before the end of 2012. This comes as only a mild surprise given the band’s recent lack of activity, but it’s sad to hear nonetheless. An official statement from the band can be read below:

“Fans and Friends.

First and for most, a sincere thank you is in order to our fans and friends across the world. Without your support and passion, we are nothing.

As of now, Carnifex is in a state of suspended animation. The reasons for this are many and complicated. Let me be clear …

Valencia

BREAKING NEWS: R.I.P. Valencia (2003-2011)

UTG has just received an email from Valencia announcing that they will be splitting up in the near future.

In a letter to fans, the band wrote:

Valencia originally came together back in 2003. Most of us were still just in high school, but we all had gotten to know each other through the tightly knit music community we grew up in around Philadelphia. We started this band because of a mutual need to create something heartfelt and to give everyone a message we needed to share. We all felt like music would be the most significant part of
