Warpaint I'll Start Believing No Way Out

Warpaint Share New Single “I’ll Start Believing”

Los Angeles dream rockers Warpaint shared a new single a few months ago called “No Way Out.” Today, we find out it’s part of a 7″ split with another new single titled “I’ll Start Believing.” Both are available to purchase now on iTunes, but you can stream them via Spotify below.

As promised, “No Way Out” was just the first “in a series of new songs being released this year.” The new digital single brings back the group’s layered vocals and eerie harmonies for a terse, dramatic track. They nod to new wave once again, but this time …

Stream Monarchs’ Debut EP, ‘Citizens’

Los Angeles based rock outfit Monarchs, featuring Michael Gallacher (ex-Black Tie Affair), Sean Jordon (ex-Good Knives), and Jarrod Alexander (ex- Death By Stereo, ex-Dead Country), have finally released their debut EP. Entitled Citizens, the record is best summed up as sixteen minutes worth of infectious rock that finds each member playing up their talents to create a truly catchy product.

Jimmy Hu$tle Shares “The Price Is Going Up”

Ohio native Jimmy Hu$tle may have abandoned the midwest for sunny California, but he’s proving with his latest single that he still has a Cleveland attitude.

“The Price Is Going Up” found its way online earlier today, October 1. The song is the latest in a string of digital singles promoting Hustle’s forthcoming #Dumbhustle mixtape (due out October 31). The video is performance heavy, but it’s shot and edited in a such a way that it never becomes boring. You can view the visuals below.

Feel Your Skin Crawl While Watching the Debut Trailer for ‘Nightcrawler’

I have to let you know this up front: I’m a huge fan of Jake Gyllenhaal’s. I think he is wildly under appreciated, and does a lot of really great character work in almost all of his films, that usually ends up going unnoticed. Today, we are pleased to share with you the undeniably creepy trailer for Gyllenhaal’s new film, Nightcrawler.

The directorial debut of writer Dan Gilroy (The Fall, Real Steel, Bourne Legacy), Nightcrawler tells the story of Lou Bloom, a strangely driven man who in his attempt to find a job, discovers the dark world …

REVIEW: Sharknado

Film: Sharknado
Directed by: Anthony C. Ferrante
Studio: SyFy Channel

Sharknado. If the thought of a bunch of sharks being thrown around in a tornado doesn’t make you smile immediately, you’re probably not the target audience of this film, so you might as well stop reading. When the UTG office caught wind of Sharknado’s existence this past October, we all lost our minds. Harkening back to the golden age of monster movies from the 50s and 60s, the SyFy Channel is single handedly bringing glorious b-movie fun back to the masses. Sharknado had me laughing and cheering throughout the …

BACON 182: Mark Trombino Opens Donut Shop; Names Products After Bands

Legendary musician and producer Mark Trombino has worked with a variety of gigantic alt rock bands, but before reading the rest of this story it’s safe to say most of you only know him from his work with Blink-182, Jimmy Eat World, and the like. So let’s say you were Mark and had spent the better part of two decades working with these bands when you suddenly realized you had passions outside of music. What would you do? If you were Mark, you’d take the road less traveled.

Several years ago, Mark Trombino realized he had a passion for donuts, …

Lil Wayne

Lil Wayne Facing Lawsuit Over Skateboard Beat Down

LA Weekly is reporting that Lil Wayne is back in the tabloids and facing charges for his alleged assault of Los Angeles promoter Alfred Marino. Marino explains that he was just trying to get a picture of the rapper in May (2012) when one of his crew became irate and struck him in the head with a skateboard.

Alfred Marino told sources, “[His bodyguards] started tripping and saying, ‘I told you that Lil Wayne does not want to be bothered.’ I told them I have taken pictures of tons of people and I just want to show my friends that

The Ghost Inside Announces “Get What You Give” Headlining Tour, Stick to Your Guns to Support

In what seems to be one of the best tours of 2013 so far (at least that have been announced), Los Angeles metalcore group The Ghost Inside will be going out on a headlining tour with Stick to Your Guns, Stray from the Path, and Rotting Out this Spring. Trekking all across the United States, there is a very large possibility this tour is heading towards your city, or at least one close enough to drive to.

For those unfamiliar, The Ghost Inside put out their sophomore release Get What You Give in 2012, and if you haven’t …

Set Your Goals

Set Your Goals Postpones SoCal Holiday Show; Band Releases Statement

It is with much dismay that we here at UTG announce that Set Your Goals will be postponing their upcoming holiday show at Los Angeles’ Chain Reaction this Friday, December 7. The decision was made because of vocalist Jordan Brown’s recently ruptured achilles tendon from Sunday’s show. Rest assured that the band’s loyal Southern Californian fans will still have a show to attend in the future, once Brown has been cleared to actually move around at shows (because let’s face it: watching somebody sing in a wheelchair is boring).

This Time Next Year (who were originally planning on making this …

UTG PHOTOS: Twenty One Pilots (5/27/12)

Under The Gun’s photographer, Tori Thomas attended another Twenty One Pilots show this past weekend. She captured some photos from TOP’s show at Grog Shop in Cleveland, OH on May 27th.

After attending the Twenty One Pilots show in Pittsburgh, I had to attend the Cleveland show at Grog Shop (I was planning on attending the Cleveland date even before going to the Pittsburgh show). I was definitely not disappointed at this show! The crowd was significantly larger, but that is expected when TOP plays a home state show. Many fans from all over the state of Ohio traveled to …
