STREAM: Chelsea Grin – “Right Now” (Korn Cover)

Here’s something you don’t hear everyday. Chelsea Grin have taken to the internet to debut a cover of Korn’s classic single, “Right Now.”

Giving the rock anthem a heavy twist and a plethora of vocal layers, Chelsea Grin’s twist on “Right Now” could be the stepping stone to introduce a new generation of music fans to the band that dominated so much of the early 2000s. If you are not already a fan of Chelsea Grin I doubt this will change your mind, and it’s certainly unlikely to convert Korn fans, but for those who fall between those two descriptions …

Korn Is Working On A New Album

Rap-rock/nu-metal/WUBWUBWUBWUBWHATEVER journeymen Korn are hard at work writing a new album.

Drummer Ray Luzier leaked the news through his Twitter feed, tweeting a picture of the boards in the studio where the band is presumably recording. Saying that the band is in “full writing effect,” Luzier also stated that he was “SO stoked” on the group’s new “BRUTAL” material.

So which #brutal version of Korn will we see on this newest album? Maybe a return to their grimy roots? Or will this be another dubstep saturated affair in the same vein as their 2011 effort The Path of Totality

MUSIC VIDEO: Korn – Chaos Lives In Everything

Those crazy aging men in Korn are back with their new music video for “Chaos Lives In Everything.”

“Chaos” is one of Korn’s Skrillex collaborations taken from 2011′s The Path of Totality. The video features skate thugs, violence, and plenty of random slo-mo shots to ensure you understand the proper use of dubstep in video editing. Check out the extremely well made clip for “Chaos Live In Everything” after the jump.

The Path To Totality is available now and was not completely hated by our staff. If you dig “Chaos Lives In Everything” and want to support Korn’s efforts, …

REVIEW: Korn – The Path of Totality

Artist: Korn
Album: The Path of Totality
Label: Roadrunner Records
Genre: Nu-veggie-step

Out of all the trendy nu metal bands from the early 2000s, it’s pretty easy to tell that Korn had one of the more interesting and distinctive sounds. Perhaps it’s because they had a few years head start than their colleagues, but that matters not. What does matter, however, is that Korn have somehow found a way to continue to be relevant. Over the years they advanced their sound ever so slightly, and truly avoided putting the same album out twice. They’ve had their ups and they’ve had …

Korn ‘The Path Of Totality’ Album Details

Korn are ready to kick back into gear with the announcement of their upcoming tour and now a brand new album. They have revealed that their tenth studio release, The Path of Totality, will officially see a drop date of December 6 via Roadrunner Records. You can find the album artwork to you left, what do you think?!

I have a feeling like this record will be unlike anything Korn have ever put out before, considering they are working with top electronic producers such as Skrillex, Excision, Datsik, Noisia, Kill the Noise, and 12th Planet. I’m interested to see …
