Kanye West Is Planning a ‘Yeezus’ Tour

The Yeezus talk just keeps on coming. Mike Dean, contributing producer for the latest Kanye West album, has confirmed that West will tour his new record during his Reddit AMA session.

No major details have surfaced regarding possible dates or locations, but Dean’s statement has gotten fans’ hearts flaring. The critically acclaimed 2010 release My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy never saw its own tour, with West only playing a few hits off of it live. Just knowing the new album will gets its own tour is making us giddy. Well, that, and the American Psycho-inspired short film for

Kanye West Releases ‘American Psycho’-Inspired Short Film

The hype for Kanye West’s new album, Yeezus, which dropped today, has been through the roof these past few days. With his new American Psycho-Inspired short film, he’s only continuing the trend.

A number of projections were scheduled to occur around the world to promote the new album days before its June 18 release date. Los Angeles was able to see the short film early when it was screened on the walls of Milk Studios this past weekend, but West has now posted it on his website and on YouTube. The film mimics the famous scene from American Psycho

Urban Noize Remixes Kanye West and Daft Punk

It takes a lot to truly dislike both Kanye West and Daft Punk. Yeah, they’re both big players in the music world and have a bit of a complex (okay, a major complex in West’s case), but they’re popular for a reason. So when two of their songs are mashed together in the hands of Urban Noize, it’s likely only good can come from it. And it has.

“Around the world, around the world, world, Mr. West”

Urban Noize’s remix combines “Around the World” by Daft Punk and “I’m the Sh*t” by Kanye West. The two work surprisingly well …

REVIEW: Kanye West – Yeezus

Artist: Kanye West
Album: Yeezus
Genre: Hip Hop

Yeezus season has arrived. After months of hype, absolutely no radio play, dozens of projections around the globe, and an afternoon spent trending over a leak, Kanye West’s latest epic has finally found its way into the hands of music lovers around the world. It’s an ambitious effort that puts the experimentation of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy to shame, but while it’s something everyone should hear at least once, it may very well be be too much for many to enjoy.

Leonardo DiCaprio Takes NYC In First ‘Wolf Of Wall Street’ Trailer

There used to be a rumor that Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio could do no wrong when paired together (I still think it holds true). Now it seems DiCaprio has another companion in film, and this one comes in the form of musical accompaniment.

For the second time in a handful of months, Kanye West has been recruited to contribute music to Leonardo DiCaprio’s latest on screen effort. First came The Great Gatsby, which featured music from The Throne, and now viewers have a killer trailer for The Wolf Of Wall Street to make them psyched for Yeezus and …

In a digital age, avoiding consumers from pirating music, movies, or software has become increasingly difficult. So when news broke that Kanye West’s new album, Yeezus, leaked online before its June 18 release date many people were not surprised. However, Def Jam, Roc-A-Fella Records, and West are on record stating they don’t intend on releasing any material before the album drops. In return, the music community and West’s label are looking for who dropped the ball.

TMZ reports that Def Jam’s “leaks division employs various methods to track down the source of a leak, as well as to put …

Rick Rubin Discusses Working With Kanye West On New Album, ‘Yeezus’

There’s been a ton of news and hype lately leading up to Kanye West’s new album, Yeezus. During his album’s listening party in New York this earlier week, West made the announcement that Rick Rubin is indeed the executive producer on the upcoming album. Kanye West is even on record telling The New York Times, “I’m still just a kid learning about minimalism, and [Rick's] a master of it.”

Rick Rubin recently spoke with the Wall Street Journal about working with West on his new album.

Pusha T Debuts “Who I Am” Featuring 2 Chainz And Big Sean

Just a month after leaving fans energized and slightly confused with “Numbers On The Board,” G.O.O.D. Music member Pusha T has debuted a new single off his forthcoming solo effort.

“Who I Am” pairs Pusha T with 2 Chainz and Big Sean against a one-of-a-kind beat produced by Million $ Mano and Kanye West. Deep bass hits with highlights of snare, high hat, and a screaming sample (literally) backs the emcees as they go in about, well, who they are. Pusha’s larger than life personality works the jarring accompaniment best, but all three deliver verses you’ll want to memorize. You …

Kanye West Performs “New Slaves” (Acapella)

Kanye West continues to unveil unusual performances (and broadcasts) of his latest single this morning with video surfacing from a recent acapella rendition offered by West at Design Miami/ Basel.

No, that was not a joke or a metaphor. Kanye West took the stage last night at Design Miami/ Basel and performed “New Slaves” acapella for a room full of fans and onlookers. His delivery was perfectly timed and I dare say the emotion behind the track was stronger than ever before. You can view the performance at the end of this post.

Danny Brown Performs “Numbers On The Board” Freestyle

This is probably the most ridiculous video and rap you will experience all day. That said, it’s also fantastic and deserving of your time.

Eccentric Detroit native Danny Brown is currently overseas on tour. Recently, Brown stopped by Tim Westwood’s radio show for an interview and ended up performing a freestyle over Pusha T’s Kanye West produced “Numbers On The Board.” In typical fashion, Brown delivered a fiery set of bars that were equally offensive and ludicrous. It’s hard to tell when Danny Brown is trying to convey a message or spit bars for the sake of rapping, but whatever …

Kanye West Previews ‘Yeezus’ In NYC, Has Justin Vernon & Chief Keef On Same Track

“I wanna explain something about the title Yeezus, simply put West was my slave name and Yeezus is my god name.” – Kanye West

Now that Mac Miller and J. Cole have had their album leak online in advance of their June 18 release date, all eyes are now on Kanye West’s Yeezus and all the mystery it holds. Though “New Slaves” has been broadcasted worldwide in the last month, no additional material has been made available for fans outside of live performances. There were rumors Kanye held a listening party at the end of April, but very few could …
