Watch the Trailer for Marvel’s Latest TV Show, ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’

We all knew it was coming, but you can finally salivate over the debut trailer for Marvel’s latest television outing, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. The show will follow the S.H.I.E.L.D. team taking on unusual cases that “haven’t been classified yet – the new strange and the unknown.”

The pilot, which is written and directed by Mr. Avenger himself, Joss Whedon, has no release date, but one can assume it is getting ready for a Fall release on ABC.

From the trailer, we see that the show sits directly in the huge universe Marvel has already created, and the opportunities this show …

MOVIE TRAILER: Much Ado About Nothing

The trailer for Joss Whedon’s modern adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing has hit the Internet, and the entire UTG stuff is very excited.  Starring Amy Acker, Alexis Denisof, Nathan Fillion and a whole lot more, this retelling of the classic love story looks insanely promising, and you can tell the slick writing of Shakespeare really lends to Whedon’s filmmaking style.

The film was shot over the course of 12 days at Joss Whedon’s home in October of 2011, and it was produced by himself and his wife via Bellweather Studios. The film hits theaters on June 7.…

Sneak Peek: Avengers Blu-Ray Clip

As the DVD release of Marvel’s crusading Avengers draws closer, so the marketing campaign is going into overdrive. Last night we brought you a deleted scene involving Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk, and this morning a clip has surfaced from a documentary to be included on the Blu-ray disc. It depicts Ruffalo, Joss Whedon, and Tom Hiddleston waxing lyrical about Nick Fury himself, Samuel L. Jackson. It can be viewed after the jump.

The documentary will be entitled “Building A Cinematic Universe” and will be part of a whole host of extras on the Blu-ray release. As previously reported, these will …

Release Date For The Avengers 2

After the fangasmic announcement earlier this month that Joss Whedon would return to write and direct The Avengers 2, the release date has now been made official for us all to pencil into our calendars. Disney and Marvel have revealed that our favourite band of mismatched superheroes will next venture onto cinema screens on May 1, 2015. This is in keeping with Whedon’s recent deal with Marvel, which will see him develop a number of projects for the studio up and until the end of June 2015.

Excitement abounds from the movie mill this morning, as Disney and Marvel have announced that Joss Whedon will return to write and direct The Avengers 2.

While it’s no great surprise to see the man who helmed the third biggest box office hit of all time (with a haul of just under $1.5 billion worldwide) return, it is nonetheless refreshing to see the studios place faith in a fan favourite.
