MOVIE TRAILER: Much Ado About Nothing

The trailer for Joss Whedon’s modern adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing has hit the Internet, and the entire UTG stuff is very excited.  Starring Amy Acker, Alexis Denisof, Nathan Fillion and a whole lot more, this retelling of the classic love story looks insanely promising, and you can tell the slick writing of Shakespeare really lends to Whedon’s filmmaking style.

The film was shot over the course of 12 days at Joss Whedon’s home in October of 2011, and it was produced by himself and his wife via Bellweather Studios. The film hits theaters on June 7.…

Disney and Marvel have revealed that our favourite band of mismatched superheroes will next venture onto cinema screens on May 1, 2015. This is in keeping with Whedon’s recent deal with Marvel, which will see him develop a number of projects for the studio up and until the end of June 2015.

Quite a wait for us so, but Marvel have plenty of upcoming …

Joss Whedon To Write And Direct Avengers 2

Excitement abounds from the movie mill this morning, as Disney and Marvel have announced that Joss Whedon will return to write and direct The Avengers 2.

While it’s no great surprise to see the man who helmed the third biggest box office hit of all time (with a haul of just under $1.5 billion worldwide) return, it is nonetheless refreshing to see the studios place faith in a fan favourite. Marvel’s action-packed Avengers went down a treat with cinemagoers and reviewers alike earlier this year, with many crediting Whedon’s sharp writing and direction for turning the project from a …

MOVIE REVIEW: The Avengers

Film: The Avengers
Director: Joss Whedon

We come to it at last. The great cinematic moment of our time. Take a deep breath in, for nerdvana is here. And, without further ado and token sentences about fanboy expectations and comic aficionado Joss Whedon as captain of the potentially troublesome ship, let me say straight out …
