MUSIC VIDEO: Jitta On The Track – “Charlie Brown”

Lumber Life mastermind Jitta On The Track is back in the UTG headlines once again with the release of the video for his latest Alphabet Soup single, “Charlie Brown.”

Keeping with the high-gloss approach of his previous videos, “Charlie Brown” finds Jitta taking his performance-loving self back to school with a ride on a big yellow bus. The reflective feel of the visuals pairs perfectly with the song’s relaxed beat, and both help to focus the viewer’s attention on Jitta’s lyrical skills (which have come a long way in the last year). MUSIC VIDEO: Jitta On The Track – “FYPM”

Jitta on the Track is on the come up. And you better have his money.

That seems to be the prevailing theme of his latest A-Nice produced single “FYPM”, or “fuck you, pay me.” You certainly can’t fault the man for being indirect.

The music video for the #LumberLife rapper’s latest single sees Jitta gooning around the woods and spitting rhymes to a deer. Seriously. And that deer looks impressed as hell.

Watch the video for “FYPM” after the jump.

MIXTAPE: Jitta On The Track – Alphabet Soup

The wait it over!

We have been hyping CT’s Jitta On The Track since Summer, and now it’s time for him to prove that we’re not crazy. This morning, Jitta let his new mixtape leak online a few hours before its proper release, so everyone reading this post right now can grab a copy before it even premieres. Alphabet Soup features sixteen new tracks, including some joints that were produced by P.O.S., and can be downloaded through the link at the end of this story. I don’t know what exactly the future holds for this young artist, but it’s clear …

MIXTAPE: UTG’s Ignorant Anthems of 2012

By this point it should be no secret that the UTG staff loves hip hop, but today we are taking things to another level. You see, throughout 2012 we have stumbled upon a number of tracks that specialize in rattling your speakers, filling you with energy, and making sure you walk around as if you have chip on your shoulder regardless of whether or not such ego deserved. Some call it fluff rap, others call it disposable, but here at UTG we choose to use the term ignorant, and recently we’ve collected our favorite bass-thumping, hype heavy tracks from the …

MUSIC VIDEO: Jitta On The Track Ft Kyd Gwap and Dom McLennon – “Trillmatic”

Jitta On The Track is only two weeks away from dropping his Alphabet Soup mixtape and today we get our first listen to the latest leak, “Trillmatic.” Featuring Kyd Gwap and Dom McLennon, the latest from the “Smoke Signals” rapper is accurately described by the song’s title. This is a bass heavy, often ignorant, speaker-exploding jam packed with tight verses from three emcees that should be on everyone’s watch list. I love it, and something tells me you will too. MUSIC VIDEO: Jitta On The Track – “Smoke Signals”

Connecticut’s Jitta On The Track has been teasing his visuals for “Smoke Signals” over Twitter for weeks, and today we finally have the official premiere. Anyone familiar with Ellie Goulding’s megahit “Lights” will be familiar with the sample on this track, but that shouldn’t distract from the downright sick flow Jitta lays to the beat. You can view the official video for “Smoke Signals” after the jump.

UTG LIST: 5 Emcees You Need To Know

At the beginning of 2012 UTG released a list of five artists we felt needed to be watched in the months to come. Of these artists, all five have gone on to land record deals, gain more exposure, and slowly but surely take their place as the future of the alternative music scene. While we’re happy to see artists we believe in succeed, we realized not long ago that we were complete assholes for overlooking the world of hiphop altogether in our original list. So, in hopes of making amends and keeping you informed as to who you will be …
