New Bond Films Will “Build On ‘Skyfall’”

James Bond scriptwriter John Logan revealed the next two movies in the franchise will “build on Skyfall.” Logan, who co-wrote Skyfall, is on board for the 24th and 25th Bond films and has big plans for the next chapter in the spy series.

He told IGN, “My goal is to write a great movie that’s appropriate, to build on what we did on Skyfall, but make it its own unique animal,” adding, “The themes, ideas and the characters from Skyfall can obviously continue on, because it’s a franchise, and it is an ongoing story. So I think …

MUSIC VIDEO: Muse – “Supremacy”

Brit pomp rockers Muse premiered the music video for “Supremacy”, the fourth single from their most recent album The 2nd Law.

A pivot away from Muse’s previous material, the focus on subtle sonic textures in “Supremacy” marks a new, more nuanced direction for the band.

Just kidding! The song is the audio equivalent of the following “What If?” scenario; in which Black Holes And Revelations closer “Knights of Cydonia” makes sweet, passionate love to Adele’s theme for Skyfall only to sneak out of the bedroom in the morning, leaving the soulful track from the British songstress shaken, not stirred. …

MOVIE REVIEW: Skyfall

Movie: Skyfall
Director:
Sam Mendes

I’m not sure if this is a minority opinion, but I’ve often considered the Bond franchise to be a rather divisive property. For everyone I know who loves the gadgetry, the intrigue and espionage, there’s another who resents the cheese and vainglorious posturing of the early days and the emotionless gloss of the latter ones. Granted, these complaints were largely put to rest following Daniel Craig and Martin Campbell’s brilliant reinvention of the franchise with 2006’s Casino Royale, and yet some detractors seem to linger – perhaps justifiably so following the largely lukewarm reception …

STREAM: Adele – “Skyfall”

It was confirmed within the last two weeks and tonight we have the premiere of Adele’s theme for the upcoming James Bond film, Skyfall. Written with Paul Epworth, Adele’s signature elegance breathes larger-than-life qualities into this one, and I think it fits nicely alongside the other legendary themes in the Bond cannon. You can stream the single after the jump.

Skyfall hits theaters this November…

Preview of Adele’s “Skyfall” theme released

The theme song to the upcoming 23rd James Bond picture “Skyfall” may not be released officially till Thursday, but a short preview of Adele’s song was just released. The preview, clocking in at just under two minutes, recalls the older themes from the Sean Connery days of James Bond, and with everything that’s happening, people might just need a little old fashioned.

Adele to Sing Theme Song in Newest James Bond Movie

According to reports from TheFilmStage, it’s certain that British pop-star Adele will be the voice of the theme for the newest James Bond movie Skyfall. She apparently has been in Abby Road Studios with the composer for the film Thomas Newman recording a single song.

This choice makes so much sense, and I’m not surprised even in the slightest. The singer has some of the best pipes in pop music right now, and since she’s from where Skyfall is set (Britain in case you have never seen the first twenty-two movies), it’s a match that fits the spirit of England’s …

Daniel Craig Confirmed To Play Bond in Two More Films

UTG-staffer Dane Sager just read the headline and had heart palpitations. While this was suspected but not confirmed, I’m really happy to post that MI6-HQ has confirmed that Daniel Craig will reprise his role as legendary British spy James Bond in two more films following the upcoming movie Skyfall. This is really fantastic to hear, as I think that Craig has given the franchise a breath of fresh air, both as an actor and stylistically. While Quantum of Solace definitely isn’t everyone’s favorite Bond movie, I think Skyfall has some real opportunities for a fun ride.

For those who …
