The song is a vast departure from the last Jack’s Mannequin album, which fits perfectly with McMahon’s hopes of starting a new chapter in his career with his latest efforts. “one last song
I have been well aware, throughout my career, how rare it is for a musician to have such a genuine connection with the people who support them. The reaction to the final JM shows have certainly crystalized those realizations. There is little I could do to express my gratitude for this, but

Andrew McMahon Adresses Fans About Last Jack’s Mannequin Show

It’s the end of a very emotional era for Andrew McMahon and his Jack’s Mannequin band members and an emotional end for the band’s fans.

Andrew McMahon Retiring “Jack’s Mannequin”

Andrew McMahon has decided to retire the “Jack’s Mannequin” moniker after eight years and three albums. McMahon, who started the project  in 2004 after the demise of his former band, Something Corporate, has been hinting in recent months that he wanted to start writing music under his own name. “Jack’s Mannequin” has always been an alter-ego of sorts for the piano man. Jack’s Mannequin released their third, and final, album, People and Things, last year via Sire Records.

STREAM: Jack’s Mannequin unreleased demo

As Something Corporate began to disband, Andrew McMahon found a new outlet for his music in Jack’s Mannequin. At this time, Andrew was demoing a few songs that would eventually form Everything in Transit. However, not every song would make it to the pressed format of the album, so Andrew held onto a few songs to release as bonus tracks on his latest record, People and Things. One track however, never saw the light of day. That song has found it’s way into the light. The demo is called “Anorexic Love Song.”
