I’m tempted to write that it’s business as usual here for The Bronx, but doing so feels like a disservice. The simply-titled IV (as in, their fourth eponymous album) is a model of cast-iron efficiency, utilising all the toughness and relish and jarring qualities that permeate their work, and yet it’s something more elegant and refined than that description might imply. MUSIC VIDEO: Maylene And The Sons Of Disaster – Open Your Eyes

Ferret Records’ Maylene And The Sons Of Disaster have released their music video for “Open Your Eyes” and it is a gruesome one. The video stars Machete/Sons Of Anarchy actor Danny Trejo and portrays him as a woman-abusing monster. Eventually the woman fight back and that is where I will leave you hanging in anticipation.

This song comes off of the group’s latest release, IV, via Ferret Records. Also, be sure to catch them on their US tour run with support from Lionize and the official tour poster can be viewed on UTG.

Maylene And The Sons Of Disaster Announce January Tour, Reveal Dates

Southern rock badasses Maylene And The Sons Of Disaster have announced plans to kickoff 2012 with a tour in support of their latest album.

Starting January 26 in Houston, Maylene And The Sons Of Disaster’s first tour of the new year will take them from the middle of the country, to the West Coast, then all the way back to Kansas in just under a month. A full list of tour dates can be found below:

Lil Wayne Announces World Tour With Eminem

If Kanye and Jay-Z have the biggest hip hop tour of 2011, 2012 will surely be the year of Lil Wayne and Eminem.

Weezy took to his Facebook last night to announce a world tour with Eminem, just hours after it was announced that his latest album (Tha Carter IV) had gone double platinum. A post was made at roughly 5PM last night which read “Headed to Fiji,Australia,then S. Africa…on tour with Slim Shady…a blessing…thx to those who supported C4! 2x platinum! Love y’all.” No further details were given at this time.
