LIVE MUSIC VIDEO: I See Stars – “New Demons”

I See Stars have blown up over the last couple of years, and with the success of New Demons it’s certainly no surprise. They’ve toured all of the world, and during that time they’ve had plenty opportunity to have videos shot of them performing. Their label had a live music put together of them performing “New Demons,” which is stitched together with some behind the scenes tour footage. Check it out by taking a look below the break.

Speaking of tours, the band will be heading out on the road later this month for a month long stint with Like

UTG Exclusive: Producer Joey Sturgis Picks His 10 Favorite Projects

I am almost certain there has not been a single day in the last few years of this website where we have not discussed at least one artist who has producer Joey Sturgis to thank (at least in part) for their success. His work on The Devil Wears Prada’s first releases ushered in a new era for hard rock production, and to this day he continues to push the limits of music production whenever possible. He’s also expanded his horizons, including the launch of a plugin series based on his own work, but at the end of the day it …

Kriston McConnell’s ‘Best Of 2013′ In Music

When you’re listening to an album in February you may say to yourself, “THIS is my favorite album this year, definitely.” After that June comes around and you say, “No, THIS is my favorite album, hands down.” November rolls on by and you say, “Fuck all of those other albums, this is THE album of the year!” You think you have it all sorted out, then your editor asks you to put together a list of your favorite albums for the year. Well, shit.

2013 has been such a great year for music, and deciding which albums are “the best …

UTG PHOTOS: Started From The Bottom Tour (11/11/13)

Under The Gun sent photographer, Corbin Alvae, to the Started From The Bottom Tour at The Crofoot in Pontiac, MI.

Well, hey! I’m back again and ready to chit chat about what was called the ‘Started From The Bottom Tour.’ One thing I can say about this tour is that it was super stacked with tons of talent that I personally have listened to for awhile now. The location couldn’t have been any better, as it was at one of my favorite hometown venues, The Crofoot.

I always like shooting here and definitely enjoy hanging out with the rad security …

REVIEW: I See Stars – New Demons

Artist: I See Stars
Album: New Demons
Genre: Electronic Hardcore
Label: Sumerian

I See Stars arrived on the national scene at a time when the turnover rate for heavy bands in the alternative scene was at an all time high. Their debut, 3D3D and did not return until the group’s second album, The End of The World Party was nearly complete. Cleans vocalist Devin Oliver had lost his creative counter-balance, and the results were a mixed bag of songs skewing more pop than anything else. Fans stayed true, however, and the band returned stronger than ever with 2012′s Digital

Hot damn, I See Stars. I think you have a hit on your hands.

We have spent a lot of time discussing the impending release of I See Star’s New Demons due to its numerous delays, but the record is finally hitting shelves later this month and today we have a new song to share with …

EXCLUSIVE: I See Stars Delay ‘New Demons’ Release Until October

Michigan’s I See Stars have been confusing fans a bit as of late. Their long-awaited new album, New Demons, was originally scheduled for an early August 2013 release. July came and went with almost no mention of a new album from the band, and fans slowly put together that they would likely be waiting a bit longer to hear new music from the self-proclaimed ‘electronic hardcore’ outfit.

Cut to Mid-August. Taking to their official instagram, I See Stars posted the cover art for New Demons along with a message that informed fans the album had now been scheduled …
