Tig Notaro’s Cancer Stand-Up Routine For Sale On Louis CK’s Website

On August 3 this year, Tig Notaro announced that she had cancer in the form of a bold new comedy routine. In her own words, she “was expecting an awkward, quiet show,” but instead got major buzz when several comedians said it was one of the greatest comedy sets of all time, treating a very serious subject with delicate care but great hilarity. Louis CK even said “In 27 years doing this, I’ve seen a handful of truly great, masterful standup sets. One was Tig Notaro last night.”

The internet is powered by memes and we rarely get a chance to bring them to light on UTG, but today is different. Not long ago, a YouTube user by the name of “wzr0713″ uploaded a video of herself parodying Justin Bieber’s “Boyfriend.” Her personality, and in some ways her lack thereof, made the video an instant viral sensation that has since spawned 5.7 million video views and countless memes.
