Sweetlife Festival 2013 Line-Up Unleashed

The official line-up announcement has been made for this year’s Sweetlife Festival 2013 and boasts a huge list of artists/bands.

This festivial will take place on May 11 at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland. Leading the way as the top acts for the festivities are Phoenix, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Passion Pit. Coming along for the event as well are Kendrick Lamar, Gary Clark Jr., Solange, Youth Lagoon, Holy Ghost!, MS MR, and Robert DeLong.

General admission, pavilion/pit access, and VIP tickets go on sale February 8 (Friday).

Rumored (leaked) lineup for Coachella 2012

The new year is rolling around and with it comes another year of great music. Next spring is the Coachella Valley Music and Fine Arts Festival, a huge (sweaty) gathering of celebrities, rich folk, and hipsters.  To entertain these individuals, hundreds of musicians will flock to the Coachella Valley to play.

A Goldenvoice insider has revealed a rumored list of artists set to perform at the 2012 Coachella festival. Not every artist has been confirmed, but the list inside gives a pretty good depiction of what the next festival’s lineup will look like.

Girls have just released their music video for the latest single, “Honey Bunny” off the 2011 album Father, Son, Holy Ghost.

These California natives have created a lot of buzz around their latest full-length release. Girls embodied the Beach Boys, Buddy Holly, Surf Guitar style that has received quite a bit of attention from the mainstream audience.

It is nice to see bands who keep classic sound and styles alive, considering the emergence and popularity of electronic music in the recent years.
