Pure Noise Records Announce 2015 UK Tour

Pure Noise Records are sending a select group of artists to rock the British Isles in March of 2015 as part of another showcase tour.

The new tour features heavyweights Four Year Strong, plus support from Hit The Lights and up-and-coming pop-punk group Forever Came Calling. Local support will also be provided by UK band, Light You Up.

The tour kicks off on March 20 and continues for ten total dates, landing everywhere from London to Leeds. You can view the full list of dates and ticket information at the link below:…


Check Out Metallica Playing Career-Spanning Hits On ‘The Late Late Show’

As you may or may not know, Metallica performed all last week on Craig Ferguson’s The Late Late Show. The band performed different songs each night, in promotion of their Some Kind Of Monster 10th anniversary re-release, which is out on Blu-ray this Tuesday.

Hit The Lights Sign To Pure Noise Records

Earlier this morning, Hit the Lights officially announced that they are now a part of the Pure Noise Records family, and additionally will be releasing a new album later this year. It will act as a follow-up to 2012’s Invicta.

In the coming months, the four-piece will be kicking off the Skip School, Start Fights Tour with the help of Major League, Light Years, Brigades, and July. For a full list of dates, click through the jump below.

Hit The Lights Stream Unreleased Track

Hit the Lights are streaming a previously unreleased song called “Alone But Not Lonely,” and you can hear it after the break. The song was recorded between the band’s full-lengths, Skip School, Start Fights and Invicta. It’s an upbeat tune similar to vintage Hit the Lights material as well as more recent contributors to the pop punk scene, such as Major League and City Lights.

This year’s Glamour Kills Holiday Festival will take place at The Studio at Webster Hall in New York City on January 3 2014. Hit The Lights will be headlining the festival, performing Skip School, Start Fights in its entirety. Handguns, State Champs, Misser, and Elder Brother will also be performing.

The Acoustic Basement Tour Set To Begin In Early 2014

Earlier today, our friends at PropertyOf Zack announced that they will be sponsoring the 2014 Acoustic Basement Tour, which is set to begin in late January. You can check out the full details for the tour after the jump.

Featuring intimate acoustic performances by Transit, Hit the Lights, Front Porch Step, Brian Marquis, and a variety of special regional guests, this trek, set to run throughout February, will definetely be one you’ll want to catch.

A limited amount of VIP packages will go on sale on Black Friday, while general admission tickets will be launched in early-December.

Earlier today news broke over Twitter that Spinner and all of AOL Music would be shutting down. Hit The Lights were filmed performing their song “Bodybag” with original vocalist Colin Ross as well as Nick Thompson in Boston last week.

The group made this special occasion happen at Glamour Kills’ A Very GK! Holiday Festival on December 14 in Boston, MA. The event featured bands like The Wonder Years, State Champs, This Time Next Year, Class Of ’92, The Dangerous Summer and many more.

Hit The Lights have been through their share of ups and downs over the years, including the loss of vocalist Colin Ross shortly after their debut This Is A Stickup… hit stores. Hit The Lights Frontman Opens Up About Thief Club Side-Project

Hit The Lights‘ frontman Nick Thompson has written a letter to fans explaining the nature of his new side-project, Thief Club. Thompson touches on wanting to put out music that inspires him, not answering to any labels, and the music business.

He recorded his songs for Thief Club with producer Rob Freeman and is planning on releasing EPs every couple of months.
