Last we heard from Jonny Craig, he was writing a letter to himself. Now there’s a new song from his solo material for the world to hear, aptly titled “Rhythm to my Soul (Heroin)”. He is slated to release a seven song EP as a solo artist, although further details are still unknown at this time.

The song is clever (or stupid, depending on your view of drug abuse) as Jonny plays on his own drug addiction and uses “heroin” as a metaphor for a woman (“heroine”). The former Dance Gavin Dance singer has a history of drug …

Jon Bon Jovi’s Daughter Allegedly Overdosed on Heroin, Arrested For Possession

TMZ has reported that Jon Bon Jovi’s 19-year-old daughter, Stephanie Rose Bongiovi of Red Bank, N.J., allegedly overdosed in her Hamilton College dorm room in Kirkland, N.Y. this morning.

In addition to drug paraphernalia and marijuana, Kirkland, N.Y. Police say a drug task force also found a “small amount” of heroin next to the superstar’s unresponsive daughter.

According to The Press-Enterprise, Kirkland Police investigator, Peter Cania said Stephanie was taken to an undisclosed hospital to recover. She will be appearing in court at a later date where she’ll face three misdemeanor charges: possession of a controlled substance, possession of …

Cops Find Heroin, Loaded Guns, and Ten Pounds Of Marijuana On Nelly’s Bus; Rapper Escapes Arrest

Damn Nelly, you’ve really started some shit this time.

While touring through Texas last night, Nelly and his crew were detained while cops searched the Country Grammar star’s bus. During their operation, law enforcement officials recovered a thirty-six baggies of heroin, as well as a loaded gun and what is being reported as over ten pounds of marijuana.

After their search, one of the bus passengers by the name of Brian Keith Jones stepped forward to admit the drugs and gun were his and was subsequently placed under arrest. Everyone else, including Nelly, were released.

MUSIC HISTORY CLASS: Cocaine, Heroin, and Backing Tracks

On this day in in 1995, Stone Temple Pilots eccentric lead singer, Scott Weiland, was arrest in Pasadena, California on  cocaine and heroin possession charges. It was the first of his several drug-related arrests. Weiland claims that he was first introduced to heroin when vocalist Gibby Haynes gave Weiland some of the drug while Stone Temple Pilots was on tour with Hayne’s Butthole Surfers (oh…the band names in the 1990s). Haynes denies Weiland’s allegations.

MUSIC HISTORY CLASS: The Death of Kurt Cobain

On this day in 1994, legendary Rock and Grunge icon, Kurt Cobain of Nirvana, committed suicide in his Seattle, Washington apartment. However, Cobain’s body was not discovered until 8 April when Veca Electric employee, Gary Smith, was at Cobain’s residence to install new security lights. Smith noticed a lifeless body on the floor of the apartment. What Smith found was a deceased Cobain with a shotgun strung across his chest, a nauseating head wound, and a suicide note. As well, large concentration of heroin and some traces of diazepam were found in Cobain’s body.

Friend and Sister of Jonny Craig Comment on the Singer’s Situation

Dance Gavin Dance Release Official Statement about Jonny Craig

Dance Gavin Dance released an official statement about the controversy with Jonny Craig today. For those of you who don’t know Jonny Craig has had some problems in the past and we did a full report on it early this morning which can be read here. I’m going to withhold my opinion on the matter, but I think it is safe to say this whole matter is saddening.

Casey Royer charged with Child Endangerment

Casey Royer, former drummer for Social Distortion, was charged with child endangerment after allegedly overdosing on heroin in front of his 12 year old son last week in Orange County, California.  Drug paraphernalia littered the scene when police arrived.  Royer was hospitalized, revived by doctors and later arrested.  On Monday he was charged with child endangerment and being under the influence of heroin.
