Gym Class Heroes frontman Travie McCoy is back in UTG headlines once more with the release of his latest solo single, “Rough Water.”
Taking a turn for the world of acoustic-laden pop, “Rough Water” finds McCoy pairing with indie deity Jason Mraz for a smooth jam about holding onto one another in the face of, well, rough water. The verses are perfectly fine, but the highlight is the soaring hook provided by Mraz, which you’ll be singing long before the song comes to an end. You can stream the single below.

Denver rock/hip hop group, Air Dubai have signed with Hopeless Records. Their full length album, Be Calm, will be released sometime next year.
The group’s vocalist, Jon Shockness, recently sat down with Alternative Press to discuss their music and any future plans.
When asked what makes Air Dubai different from other rock/hip hop groups like Gym Class Heroes, Shockness replied, “I think we’re different because we don’t really think about it. We don’t really say, ‘We are a hip-hop band that try to do rock music.’ We don’t want to fit into a ‘This is who we are’ thing. …

It’s not clear as to whether the band is recording a new album, EP or demo. One thing is for sure though, they’re up to something, and we’re very excited about it.

Black Cards recently made a remix of Gym Class Heroes’ new single, “Ass Back Home.” The song comes off the band’s new album, The Papercut Chronicles II.
I can say, that this is one of the best remixes I’ve heard this year. The remix starts off with the perfect dance beat for any party and is eased in by Neon Hitch’s vocal part, then it really kicks off into a dance party remix.
Fans can hear the remix right here.
